Sagaris's are able to tank a stream of damage while the Surya tanks jolts or large bursts of damage. In a fight, I always find that my Surya wins, but maybe it's just because the Sagaris is poorly fit. |

They both can go toe to toe with each other. It's just a matter of who shot first. |

If you get into armor damage you need an armor repper to fix that without outside help. This is a pro for armor ships, but you can fit one on any vehicle if you get creative. |

The main difference between the 2 is the surya is an armour tank while the sageris is a shield tank. Armour tanks have high health but slow health recovery (None without modules) while the shield tanks have low health ( comparatively speaking and fast health recovery. So while the Surya is better at absorbing burst damage, the sageris has the advantage is prolonged fights. I personally like the sageris because the suryas armour will get steadily chipped away, while with the sageris I can go into my battles with full shields most of the time. |

Also keep in mind Armor is low slots, and shield is high.
This means that if you armor tank, you have high slots available for other uses (and vice-versa). |

Sagaris is currently more flexible. Once the damage mods are back I think they will start being equal in straight up fights with the Surya again. When there is more equipment for the high slots we will see more utility from the armor tankers. |

Don't forget that there seem to be a problem with the Armour hardeners. It's not confirmed though, but since I added some, I'm getting melted far quicker. |
