- Make Dropships (and ground vehicles) a lot louder! Dropships shouldnGÇÖt be able to GÇÿget the dropGÇÖ on ground infantry without being heard approaching.
- Reward Dropship pilots if passengers go on to get kills on the ground or capture objectives.
- Master eject button. If the pilot ejects, auto eject everyone else. It's only polite!
- Have weapon ammo capacity so pilots need to hover near a supply point or nano hive to rearm.
- Prevent spawning on almost dead Dropships. If shield and armour below 50% it's unsafe to spawn on.
- Identify spawn point owners when a player goes to choose a spawn. This way you can spawn on a Dropship or player you want instead of a random militia one on suicide run.
- Allow spawning on an un-piloted Dropship (after removing militia Dropships or their spawn ability). This may help towards discouraging solo Dropship gunners on high vantage points.
- Increase time allowed in the red zone. Pilots need space to run and heal. Prevent guns from working in red zone instead (could apply this to everything)
- Get rid of free Militias Dropships (and Tanks). Nothing in life should be free! Even a BPO should have an ISK value associated with producing an item from it.
Dropship controls
- Change rotate left/right to L1 and R1. Use only L2 for analogue thrust. No thrust means you fall, so no 'down' button needed. If nose dive you fall faster. Keep R2 module activation.
- Right stick is now just to look around. Very useful to look sideways and see if you are giving gunners good fields of fire.
- Add pilot fired weapon on assault Dropships that fire either straight ahead or at 45 degrees down (toggle on R2 menu) R3 to fire? (or L1 AND R1 to fire so you can't staff sideways and fire)

1. What? Drop ships and tanks are loud as hell. Turn your sound up. I can hear a dropship over at A while I'm standing at B. 3. I tell people to jump out. If you don't do it, that's on you. 5. That's the chance you take. Half of the time my dropship is at or below 50%. If you want to prevent people from spawning on my dropship after below 50% then you'll want to beef up my armor so that I last longer than 30 seconds before getting below that point. 7. The vehicle is unmanned, which means everything is turned off. 8. 15-20 seconds is a lot more time than the previous build. 9. Militia vehicles are here for a number of reasons. One of these is to test out the vehicles themselves. Before, you rarely ever saw anyone using the vehicles so there was little in the way of testing being done.
Controls: 1. Flies pretty well as it stands. No thrust means you fall? You're talking about a hover craft falling if it isn't constantly using thrusters. 3. Something we agree on partially. I think it would be cool to have a dropship with weapons in the front, but from what I've seen in videos thus far, there are going to be fighter craft that will take care of that for me. I view the dropship as a Chinook or a blackhawk. Thinking of it that way and it feels right to me.

The following points are the ones I disagree with as written. The rest are good ideas.
3. That's a good idea. I'd like to see it attached to the pilot's escape. I don't want someone being able to force everyone to leave his dropship whenever he wants. Seems problematic
5. Color code dropships when choosing your spawn point. Red dropships are dangerously close to exploding while Blue oness are safe.
7. This would encourage more dropships on building, and make them harder to kill. People would have two rockets going at the same time with the chance that a pilot will wisk them away when in danger.
Controls
3. Good idea (This is all over the forums, as well), but the control scheme would need to be worked out. Firing with R3 would drive me crazy.

With blaster turrets, she flies (and guns) almost identicle to a Blackhawk - all the way down to the angle of tilt when drifting sideways mattering.
I love the dropships, next game build I'll probably spend SP and ISK on em, but since they are free, I might as well play little pilot games to improve my skills (still working on swarmer evasion, forge guns are pretty easy to juke) |

If VTOL dropships have taken the place of the helicoptor where is the pilot controled machine gun in the forward arc? Or the tail gunner mount |

Then why are you here...? beta testing a game that will be practically released for free? Not only that but the game won't have a Pay to Win environment. its more of a "pay if you like the game or else its free" kind of scenario. |

The devs have said that Militia vehicles aren't going to be free long-term.
And while I had issues the last couple of weeks, I've been having no trouble hearing Dropships this week so far. |

I hunt down and kill dropships trying to sneak up to me when I'm doing AV all the time due to their sound.
If you can't hear them, it's a personal sound issue.
I can tell exactly where they are simply by the sound.
And yes, they definitely need a dropship that has a pilot gun on it. Many of my brothers in the sky who won't give up their dropships tend to go ant hunting or tower sniping. Give them work shooting gun-game people with a proper weapon and tactic. |

Fix Dropships: add impact damage to them. I lose almost all my shield on my tank if I touch the lamp posts, but I can slam a drop ship into the ground hard, with barely a scratch.
P.S.: STOP PUTTING THAT STUPID Z IN FRONT OF YOUR TOPICS, IT MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A ******* ****! |
