we have a fairly impressive line up, some of the most skilled people in the beta all coming together to take over new eden. That, mixed with our pre-existing eve contacts and financial backers, we just may become a force to be reckoned with.

Perhaps this sounds trivially, but I don't like the name - is it final? Are you going to be called same just after the premiere?

How would corp command decide which contracts to take? I'm assuming if you join a corp you're not supposed to go around fighting any war you fancy as an independent merc? What are the pros and cons of joining a corp?

if its anything like eve then id imagine you would have the option of taking indie contracts as well as fighting for a corp, though you'd need to be smart, if you start fighting for a side that is an enemy of the corp you are in you could find yourself in trouble.

How i imagine it would work internally is that a corp accepts a contract then delegates the contract to a team in the corp.

The pros of joining a corp is that you will be joining a team of people that could further your goals, being a totally indie player means that you'd most likely not be able to accept any big contracts

I think the time to join corps is now. That way we can jump into Dust guns blazing. You guys should merge, there is no point in having two "Beta corps".

there are more than 1 beta corps, there are alot of corps and even some alliances already formed.

Question is, your starting your own corp, but what alliances do you have with which Eve Corporations?
I'm not a great player, so I know I'll never be anything then your standard foot soldier, but I'm waiting for one of my Eve friend to tell me what his corp doing with Dust, if they are making their own dust corp, if it's possible for dust players to join a already created eve corp, or just alliance themselves with a dust corp.

earlier after downtime, the betamax people invaded the EU plateaus ambush whie training new recruits, it was a hell lot of fun as everyone was on coms and the level of skill was very high hence really enjoyable games even when you lost :P

We get it. You're mad that we don't want your attitude around therefore we are the unworthy ones. You make the truth of the matter plain as day, but no matter. We're all here to have some fun and improve DUST for launch. Betamax just kind of happened and I think you will find a lot of the most detailed reports and suggestions are filed by people who get along with our goals with DUST and DUST beta. We will help the game become ready to take on the CODs of the world, and only then will it be time to make EVE deal with us, whether they like it or not. Not saying you don't have a right to your opinion, but it has little value in this thread.

Being a notable player in a Beta is like winning the special olympics...

First Off it's not the full game, full skills, etc.
Second, everything isn't balanced as it's supposed to be atm.
Third, We'll say Top 200 players currently after there are several thousand players may be top in the top 10,000..not so notable at th point.
Fourth, It's beta, you can't base performance in real game off the beta, just saying.

However, this is just my opinion. I do know Id rather not be in a Corp that is recruiting based off having notable players in a beta.

And I wasn't being condescending, The Special Olympics ain't the real Olympics,
Beta isn't the real game.
