DUST Search - Event Horizon lounge - missing companion drone

The cause of this was the client. Because it was the EU client, it was looking for an EU key. Since the key on the relevant account was NA, it didn't see what it was looking for.

The fix was to delete the client from the PS3, and download it again from the NA account. Once using a NA client, it immediately saw the NA merc pack that was purchased, and I gained access to the items.

No need to report this via petition or the bug forum, as it's already been worked out and CCP is aware of the issue and working it. I wanted to post this here as help to anyone else that ran into a similar, niche situation.

That was the key it gave me, it's not just me putting in X's to hide the real key... At which point I thought: I'll just go get the merc pack. So I did. This was all about a week ago. I reckon I fulfil the requirements, but no drone Anyone else had a problem with it?

It showed up instantly for me, since I visited the lounge well after I had been playing the beta and had it installed. That said, Home issues are handled by SOE, to the best of my knowledge, and the trigger for unlocking the drone likewise. I would contact Sony support (in North America, 1-800-345-SONY). The trigger is a matter of the the Home client checking your PS3's HDD or PSN Downloads (the one in the store listing all of your purchases / previous downloads, not the list of things actively downloading right that moment), seeing it, and granting the item. So far as I understand things, this is very much a Sony / PSN issue, not a CCP / Dust issue. There'd be no real need or reason for the two to talk to each other, since everything Home could need could be pulled from local HDD data (to include trophies WHEN they're implemented -- they're mandatory for all PS3 games released after January 2009 or 2010, forget which, have the correct date in my post on the trophy topic on the other board).

I didn't notice anything in the description, but I'd be all for it. Slay is infuriating and I'm finding it all-but-impossible (and I'm usually pretty good with strategy games like this), but I really want Dust-themed goodies for my Home avatar (especially a Homespace modelled on Gallente quarters! Long live the Federation!)

At the moment there is only the Event Horizon Lounge, but to think that something with this much hype and potential won't get, at a bare minimum, something similar or slightly larger than EVE's racial Captains' Quarters as Homespace options is simply silly. Now that they've FINALLY started adding more Clubspaces as well, I think it's even more of a given (especially since if CCP handles any of the design or modeling, they can reuse it for the exact things they said they want for Walking In Stations in EVE, such as conference rooms for corps to hold meetings.

Interrogation has so far failed to elicit any information on where it was hiding for the last week. I've even tried the threat of reprogramming with a large axe.

Your drone should pop in your backpack soon. If not, contact Sony support directly and let us know. I'll keep an eye on this topic.

shade emry Doomheim 5	Posted - 2012.07.19 11:42:00 - [13] - Quote on another note, i noticed that playing slay for a long time and even finishing the game with defeat, or win, i usally don't get a suit, i have to speed my turns up and lose on purpose to get a avatar suit..is their some kinda timeout isshue or a setting on the ps3 that auto disco's you? to add to the drone topic, i had to download the client 3 times for it to register the drone to me.. any ideas?

I assume that the PS3 was afraid of losing. I have 3 suits out of 4 , with more that 50% of the single player challenges completed.
