Tech Ohm Eaven wrote:Not to be down on folks from IGN but theres no way to write IGNorant without IGN. Case in point I ask folks how many have swarms or forges and the response was none, nope and nothing. Then I was the only guy trying to takeout a sagaris and IGNorant folks kept bugging me to cap the letters since they were too "busy".....bah!!! sniping.
How dare I interrrupt the "sniping" of those IGNorant folks and ask for help since it was my "duty" to singlehandedly cap all letters and kill three sagaris tanks, right?,right?,right?.
And Tech Ohm died, died and died trying to kill sagaris tanks.
An IGNorant fool said dude! the Creodon AR is going to kill that tank.
AR IGNorant fool died real fast when the sagaris got there.
Yeah being AV can be frustrating sometimes, especially if you're the only one doing it when there's several strong vehicles. I really can't wait for grouping to get integrated. I really wan't to squad up with at least one other FG user and a couple good AR wielding assault guys to help keep infantry off us. I've gotten pretty good at FG sniping infantry at this point, but i'd rather not waste the ammo, especially when high end vehicles are roaming

Brick Schitthawse wrote:Ditto. I hate trying to solo Sag's by myself.
Sag's aren't that big a problem most of the time, especially if they don't have awesome fittings. I've soloed several, you just need to be in a good position. I prefer to position myself on the pipes by the A or B objectives, or on the western building by C as those locations offer a good view of most of the field, not easily accessible by other infantry, and have cover i can access quickly should i start taking fire.

Berserker007 wrote:Well with peoples advice i got a FG, first game i used it i took out a sag somehow, however in never really using the heavy suits before, anyone have any rec on how to get them to move a bit faster?
And do u rec using the assault fg right away or start off using the regular and working up to it? That and now important would u say the secondary is, like get smg to lv2-4 , or worry more about lving the fg?
But least with the extra 1mil sp it will help get things moving along
If you want to move faster there are biotics you can skill for and equip to do so. I've thought about toying with them, but havent done so yet so not sure how much of a difference they would make. My advice is to get used to moving slow and play accordingly, get comfortable hitching rides in LAV's and Dropships if you wanna get anywhere fast.
As for assault vs regular forge, i use both in different situations. If there are a lot of vehicles around i tend to use the Assault since it fires quicker, does more damage, and since vehicles are large targets you don't really need to hold the charge to line up a shot and score a hit. Exception of course being moving LAV's and Dropships moving at full speed. If vehicles are few and i find myself firing at a lot of infantry i'll switch to the charge. Infantry are very hard to hit directly with a FG, so the ability to hold the charge allows me to more accurately place my shots and lead targets so i tend to get more hits that way.
A good side arm is nice to have for when enemies get in your face, and the smg is a good choice. I'd say it's up to you, if you feel like the first tier FG's are doing the job fine but you're getting killed by infantry up close then start skilling your side arm. Do what works for you. |
