the charge sniper rifle never seems to want to shoot for me even after resetting the game or leaving and starting a new one. All of the sniper rifles seem to be having this effect |

From what I have noticed with the charge sniper rifle is that you have to hold the trigger for a while then release to fire. Don't know about the rest of them though. |

Normal sniper: Hold L1 to aim. Press R1 and it shoots (even makes a POW noise) Charge sniper: Hold L1 to aim. Hold R1 to charge (no sound) then wait about 3 seconds and when you release R1, it shoots (makes a POW noise then) |

I might had taken charge sniper rifle literally if the was a noise letting me know it was charging |

That's how it works? I thought it was a bug or I'd equipped something wrong. That really could have been made clearer in the description. |

"CHARGE" - means you have to charge it before use, and charging sound is not good for a sniper.
Lots of sound = dead sniper
I suggest a LED system on the rifle. RED - NO SHOOT; GREEN - SHOOT, and also a diode system while scoping somewhere on the black around the screen. |

I haven't used the charge in this build, but in the last build there was a red circular bar that filled up (much like the railguns, but smaller) to let you know you had a full charge. It was right in the middle around or just above the center dot, and could be used when not scoped as a handy targeting reticule for up close and personal work.
On another note, while the charge does have the highest damage of any sniper rifle, because of the time it takes to get followup shots, and the fact that all heavies will require at least 2 headshots or several body shots, even if you have max damage, and well fit assault suits take 2 body shots, that the charge is less effective overall. It is great for countersniping, as it is basically guaranteed to take down any scout suit with a headshot, but for moving targets, the regular or tactical sniper rifle is better for me. |

Depends on how you build. My charged sniper rifle does over 400 dmg/hit which breaks down as follows:
All scouts: 1 hit body or head Newby Assaults: 1 hit body or head Advanced assaults: 1 head shot or 2 body shots Newb Heavy: 1-2 head shot or 2-2 body shots (depending on how new, heavy I buffer tanked take more shots) Advanced Heavy: 2 heatshots or 3+ body shots (sometimes up to 5 if they're super buffer tanked, though I've yet to see a 3 headshot heavy).
Also, the charge timer isn't present in this build, sadly. |

After playing a few rounds with the charge sniper rifle i found that i rather enjoyed it. It was a different approach to sniping its defiantly a gun for long range. Holding the button in until you get some one in your sights then releasing for the shot has landed me a lot more kills i felt it cut down on the reaction time needed to press the button when all i had to do was just let go. |

I use the Proto snipe over the charge snipe simply for the lack of finger cramps. 3x Complex mods and the charge is a murder machine.
The damage is stellar, and I don't miss the charge bar in this build.
Last build it was stupidly placed around the reticle, blocking the edges of your shot at extreme range. Hopefully it returns, a bit further away from the reticle. |
