I don't know if the this topic have be talked about but I wrote this to say on what I,maybe gallente marauders pilots, and infantry feel about the sagaris. I have skilled up Gallente HAV marauders thinking that armor tanking will be good in this game, which it is since vehicles do not have a Energy Capacitor like in EVE where armor repairs take up a lot of juice in a short period of time and drains out Capacitor and leave you a sit duck when in battle in Space. But here is when I say Nerf the Sagaris shield tank or Buff up the Surya armor HP because when I am in battle with my Surya I can go 20/2 if the other team as a whole start pulling out swarm launchers and forge guns and chip away on my armor HP and I also seen that happen with other Surya drivers but, if the Sagaris was in that situation, the driver would just pick off everyone who pose as a threat to it and just sit there til it got 20-40% shield HP left, after multiple tries to kill it with Swarms, Forges, AV grenades ,All five charges of Remote Explosives and vehicles and just retreats somewhere and comes back with 100% shields. I also tried to kill a Sagaris(s) w/ L rail guns with a Surya w/ L rail gun, I also seen people with Suryas with L rail guns and the Surya would be melted every time and I and other people said that we got the best armor modules possible and we just melt in seconds every time to a Sagaris to the point where people don't try to kill it and just avoid it for the rest of the match (most of the time), even I used all five charges of REs(Remote Explosives) to kill a Sagaris that not moving just sitting kill people and I detonate the charges and it just took off like 10-5% shields out of the 100%( I kid you not ) while I compared it to a goodly fitted Surya, it will take all shields and maybe 50-60% armor left. That is end of my plea to balance the Marauders and please comment and/or bump it on if this topic should be brought up to CCP. |

I beleive in this build they added damage types.
In Eve, shields have a naturally high resistance to eplosive damage, while armor is generally very weak. Shields in Eve have a base 50% resistance to explosive damage, while Armor has a base of 10% (using Gallente as an example since the Surya is Gallentean). Shields are naturally weak against EM damage, with a base of 0%, while armor boasts 50% EM resistance.
We don't have even half of the modules the developers are putting out there. Give it a bit of time to balance out.
Also consider the fact that armor tankers get the Damage Control for their midslot, which boosts armor resistance even more, while the Sagaris pilots need to give up that slot for their tank.
EDIT; Also, I drive both a Sagaris and a Surya. I find that the Surya fares a bit better than the Sagaris in tank-to-tank combat, while the Sagaris seems better suited for more of an infantry support role. |

as a tank hunter, both are a pig to kill, the sagaris is a harder kill due to the extra shield power though. shields recover alot faster than armour. and both reload faster than my forge gun charges.
but yea, dont nerf, the Marauder class tanks are a challenge to kill, and it gives us AT guys a real sense of pride when we destroy one. |

Dun forget the deep sadness us pilots have in both our hearts and wallets when we lose one. |
