 First, I LOVE THIS GAME!

But on tho the point. I have been looking at other FPS's seeing that this is the first on I've played sence the PS 2 came out, and I am Pleading for CCP to make the Grapics Better.
I dont think they are smooth enough or steady enough. Now I am NOT a programmer or anything like that but you have to be able to do better then whats here atm..( I hope ).
What I'm really hoping is that the way the graphics look now are in no way what we should be seeing apon Full release. I'm hoping that they are here like they are because testing the mech's are taking the lead and graphics are soon to follow. Again I hope.

I dont mean this to be a flame or a rant. Just wishing apon a star. ( or Billions and Billions of them )

The graphics you see now isnt gonna be the graphic they use in the final build. in the months to come, probably a third build with improved graphics will be released. Really hoping they put back the HUD sway they had last build

Yeah all the numbers and stuff bobbing up and down like milk bags. Which somehow is quite pointless when the info is sent straight to your brain with some implant. Even if you say it's beamed on the inside of the helmet it must be a rubber helmet to have that efefct ;)

Well graphics improved pre E3 build to current one so assume they will continue to over time. This is work in progress after all. I think atm though the developers want to fix major bugs and problems in game, such as last time the market etc. Once the games backbone has been fully developed, then its fleshed out, for we want a good stable game, not just a shiny nice-looking one.
I'm not saying your request is being ignored, just assume that they will guaranteed improve the graphics over time as it develops.

We are still in a build 1 or 2 steps behind what the devs have. So the graphics will improve. Just look at EvE, 11 years and its still got some of the best graphics around because of consistent updates.

 Honestly some times it functional.

Impacts Explosions. I like having those because it helps me track where my shots are landing at long range.
If your not seeing where your rounds land its hard to figure out whats getting hit.

This game is running on Unreal engine 3.
So it will look like gears of war 3 soon.

True enough, I've only been testing here for 3 months. I have been playing EVE for over 2 years and your right about the graphics and the changes to that game. Mabey thats why I started this thread. I would really love to see those kind of graphics implemented into Dust514. EVE has spoiled me I belive.

 Or like War for Cybertron.

Or like any of a couple of dozen other games of varying graphical quality.

The engine isn't the only consideration, you have to account for how well the devs KNOW the engine. And in this case, many of them DON'T, so I wouldn't expect quite the top-tier level of graphics (although they shouldn't be too far behind either).

At least for release. This is CCP, they do free upgrades on EVE, I'm expecting the same will happen here.

That exactly what I thought I was like omg please tell me the game Ive been waiting for the past 3 years is not Unreal Tournament because I hated that game, and there is a reason people stopped playing that game.

I always thought Call of Duty was a fish.

Anyway, I believe the graphics will improve before release, but CCP might not be too familiar with the Unreal Engine, or more of a major concern, the PlayStation 3. I've seen screen shots of EVE, so I know the developers (Both in Iceland and Shanghai I believe) know how to create quality assets. It's a matter of how much quality is retained when using a different engine on a different architecture, using hardware from around late 2005.
