You get 100xp for getting a hack on a, b, c, or anything else that you can hack right? But you get zero xp for preventing a hack? I think you should get at least 50 xp for preventing a hack on a, b, or c and like 25 xp for preventing a hack on a cloning station or vehicle. I think that would get people to play the objective even more. |

I won't lie, there may have been a time or two or ten-thousand where I let the tap complete for the chance at 100 points :( |

You're not the only one. It seems most people ignore an enemy hack in progress nowadays, even a hack that is undefended and will simply run off to search for more dudes to shoot at until the point is captured and enemies start spawning there again, which thinking about it, is probably because they want to get some free kills camping the spawn while defending their hack for even more points.
I think the logic behind it was to stop friends each side hacking and counter-hacking endlessly to point farm, which can easily be solved by a 2 minute cooldown or dimishing returns to points from a counter-hack over a short period of time.
Really though, the whole reward system needs to be reworked, and not just with points, but with more indepth game statistics to provide a clearer analysis post-game and to recognise supporting players, espcially dropship pilots. |

EDIT: There's a buff coming to make Medics more viable, but the scoreboard doesn't show the value of a good Medic right now. |

Seriously guys....? You get +75 for killing someone trying to hack/re-hack. I dont get how you guys can post something like this and carry on the topic. This is why the beta should not consist of a bunch of randoms or people who can just buy in... |

I agree sp should be awarded for being the guy that drops a nano hive so reinforcements can spawn or runs up and gets a guy back on their feet after getting shot up.
Are statistics on nanohive use available?
Blocking a hack should be worth a 25+ because like a kill assist it takes little time to do unlike hacking an objective it only takes running up and hitting the hacked objective. |

Greetings,
Garma QUDA wrote:Seriously guys....? You get +75 for killing someone trying to hack/re-hack. Actually, you only get that if your team lead or squad lead tags the hack area as a capture or rally point, otherwise you only get the regular kill points.

This.
That's why the CCP does not want to reward counter-hack. Besides today may not have meaning if the enemy destroys your MCC or you let it dock(anyway, you get a reward). After the premiere of DUST it will be important, because: 1. If you accept the contract and fail it, you will not get lot's of isk. 2. The customer does not give you a second contract. 3. If you fight for your own district - you lose it(what follows - production lines, and bunch of isk) 4. ... isk, isk, a mad amount of isk :P |

would people please search the forum before posting the same **** over and over again! seriously..
I've said it before and looks like i'll have to say it again defenders shouldn't get rewarded for failing to defend! because when you get hacked thats what you've done, you've failed to protect that point so the least you can do is clear the virus before your team loses a primary objective!
yes i agree it would be nice to get a little sp when you de hack but soon as you start givin out sp for that you're gonn have some guys letting there objectives get hacked just so they can get the sp for the de hack.

agree with OP. +1.
Currently there is no incentive to stop the enemy advancing by neuting hacks. Quite often when attackers hacks are not neuted at the start of a game it spirals out of control. Surely the mechanics are of that are not as intended? |

This.
I agree with this.
Unintended consequences are unintended, but they still happen.
You should stop the hack because it keeps the objective for your team, not just to get more SP.

This. I agree with this. Unintended consequences are unintended, but they still happen. You should stop the hack because it keeps the objective for your team, not just to get more SP. we have that same problem now with people waiting till they completely loose the objective to get sp

Countering hacks should give some small amount of wp. I still cancel the virus, but I have seen others just looking at the objective. They are probably waiting to hack it for skills. The win should be a good incentive once released and defeat has consequences. It would make sense if the things that helped team also gave wp. |
