Learn to mark objectives for your team
not only does it provide guidance for your team when all hell has broken loose and the fecal matter has hit the vertical spinning blades
but we get points for killing the enemy around the tagged objective
i would much rather be getting 75 points per kill...instead of 50
plus it promotes the protection of captured terminals |

The interface for doing so is difficult to use without getting yourself killed, and at the moment I don't think it's working as well as it did in the last build. I've tried using it as a defending squad leader before but it wasn't letting me do anything other than issue rally commands. Seems like the selection bracket is having trouble recognizing map objectives. It can pick up players ok though, but that's hard to use for directing a strategy.
This gets me thinking about the vita thing. Right now that's all focused on the social / pre-battle side of the game...but I wonder if it could be used to display the battle map for a game you're currently in. If so, then you could use the vita to issue orders without blinding yourself to your surroundings. |

there needs to be a squad leader opt in/out option as well as something notifying you of your leadership role. the map/order part of the game is horrible, i dont use it. when its better i will. now its just a pain in the butt |

The only issue being it would give a considerable advantage to vita owners, as it would increase teamwork with minimal impact on combat efficiency. I think a more balanced solution could be found. |

There is an alternative: "Painting"
My Proposal: - look at an objective, point towards it with your crosshairs so that the system understands what you want to "paint" - hold the left d-pad or the "action button" (does it have any other use?) to tag the desired object - the game would then proceed to notify other squad members that there is an objective in place - taking this objective would give you "squad/war points"? (well, you do have to do something like capture the enemy structures)
Under any other circumstances, I couldn't care less if the Vita players somehow get an advantage. I don't have a Vita myself but I wouldn't mind if there was some game play mechanics set around it. Heck, I'd say more power to them. |
