I've been playing around with the mass driver right now, and it's kind of fun. My biggest gripe is that you run out of ammo WAY too fast, especially if you're using it to provide cover fire. I don't mind running logistics with this weapon so I have nano hives when and where I need them, I just think this weapon would greatly benefit from having 20-24 shots in it, giving you a little more lasting power without having to drop a hive every two minutes / camp around existing hives.
Also while I'm here, I know it's been mentioned before but sometimes the explosion animation doesn't happen. |

yea i agree 100% and i also second that the animation doesnt apear sometimes, i like the mass driver but it still needs work |

Its like winning the lottery, which is random, and so I am not sure I like it.
I would love to see a better aiming reticule. I am not sure which game it was in, but I have seen reticles for grenade laucnhers that highlight the appropriate cross bar for the range to the object that you have the weapon pointed at. This way you could do a quick ranging, adjust the angle of elevation, and start blasting away.
As it is right now, I waste half my ammo ranging to a spot, and then find myself camping hoping someone shows up cause I don't want to have to move and lose it.
It can be very frustrating. |

It only gives you 20 shots after lvl 5 :( |

it works for a time but having to find the two nanohives you droped a while ago is still pretty annoying. |

it's a light weapon and the capacity needs to be increased along with the clip size. I would prefer six, anything more and it could become spammable and unbalanced. It takes practice to get good at it, but it's worth the lulz |

If I could pick up the nano hive and move it with me, I wouldn't mind as much. You fire off two clips and you're halfway through your ammo, then you have to go back and wait for +2, +2, +2...it just sucks because it takes a lot of mobility away when you use this weapon, and also limits the fits you can run with it because it's essentially mandatory that you have nano hives with you (hence me using a Logi with it)
I also like the idea of giving us a better aiming rectacle, though I'm not too bad at gauging range (I still try not to do if I'm not sitting on a nanohive though) |
