it's a real shame that workarounds like this are necessary for a feature that was working (albeit slowly) before the 2.0 update.
thanks for the methods and I'll give them a try next time I need to buy something. |

I'm glad to see that this thread was stickied, but also dismayed at the prospect of this issue not being fixed immediately as would be suggested by the need to sticky a post about how to work around it :(
I really didn't expect this issue to still be affecting us almost 2 weeks after it's first appearance. I thought it would have been a priority issue for the Devs to resolve because it's making doing our jobs as testers next to impossible. |

I really didn't expect this issue to still be affecting us almost 2 weeks after it's first appearance. I thought it would have been a priority issue for the Devs to resolve because it's making doing our jobs as testers next to impossible. I hear ya, but unfortunetly since everything is saved on their servers it means they have to do a revamp of the whole damn thing. Which means a sh*tload of downtime. It's not tecnically a game critical bug since the game operates for the most part. Until the game starts crashing like a American Airline it won't be fixed. My guess is it will come out whenever the first patch does. :(
I'm sorry, I most certainly would consider the loading lockups and constant loss of sync a very critical bug. It may not impede the operation of the game server side, but it very seriously inhibits a player's ability to actually play the game. Anyone experiencing this bug is, except under very specific, undefinable, and unpredictable circumstances, completely unable to make purchases on the marketplace, create, alter or restock fittings, or purchase, use, or invest in skills with the skillpoints they've earned.
This needs to be fixed asap, preferably BEFORE the next big content patch. This is definitely a hot fix worthy issue that deserves immediate attention. |

But since we are paying to play they could care less as long as the game plays half ass.
Sucks, but its how most game developers operate these days.
If that's really how it is I'm sorely disappointed in CCP.
I've never considered them to be a company that would have a stance like that.
I didn't pay to help test this game, and I've volunteered a great deal of my own time to do so. To think that CCP cares so little of the game and the time I spend playing it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. A taste very much like the taste EA and Ubisoft have left me over the past year...and I don't buy EA or Ubi games anymore because of it. |
