I would rather a pool than a few games bonus anyway, purely for the consistency of how much bonus is available (as much as I love joining a game in progress as my first game of the day, and getting garbage for SP).
I don't think the current system favors people in certain time zones, though. I've noticed the "new day" begins at about 5pm for me. I can play before 5pm, get my bonus, and then play after 5pm and get a new bonus period. However, if I play the next day before 5pm, I'm still making my diminishing returns worse, carrying over from the night before. It would really only matter if comparing two people in two different time zones who can only play one day every few days. If you're playing at a consistent time every day, it makes no difference to you. |

Only if the number of games are the same on average per day, as in I play 3 every day, and you play 6 every other day - 3 before the "new day" and 3 after. Otherwise, any extra games I play that don't have a bonus attached would ultimately give me more SP.
I'm still in favor of some sort of pool or "rested xp" as MMOs tend to do kind of system, instead of "first few games" kind of system, even if it ultimately leads to lower SP in favor of consistency. To give an example, my first game today resulted in just over 200k SP (without a booster, would have gotten dumber with), and I'm guessing I still had a couple games left of bonus SP, which is totally unfair to the guy who manages 40k or so with the bonus. |
