I don't know if it's a glitch or not, but in the last few games it seems like if there is one enemy near me, within 20 feet even, he absolutely will not show up on the map when firing his weapon.
There was actually a scout trying to shotgun me repeatedly and I thought "What's that noise? Well it can't be an enemy because he would show up on the map by firing a shotgun... wait -- it's obviously not a teammate either or he would always show up on the map!" so then I turn around and see an enemy scout. repeatedly missing his shotgun maybe 5 feet away from me. Never once showed up on the map.
Unless they introduce silencers into this game then if you fire your weapon, especially a light or heavy weapon, you need to show up on the map. If running always makes you show up then there really is no excuse not to show up when firing an AR or blasting a shotgun. |

Hmm yeah would be nice but i'm guessing that is one thing the sensors are going to be used for. Probably something like noise location equipment. The Army has a "sniper mic" it's located on the back of vehicles and detects where shots are coming from. |

check your skill sheet under drop suit command and read the description :) might explain some things. Oh and enemies do show up when they shoot, its how i spot people when sniping. |

Interpret what I posted.
I know enemies do show up, and they SHOULD, when firing. The problem is not always. Even when firing a shotgun right next to you. It doesn't matter what skill they have, if someone is firing an unsilenced weapon literally within 5 feet of you, they should show up.
Thanks for mentioning the Dropsuit command info. I was wondering exactly what that meant. |
