Snipers get a little love and hopefully people will learn to aim better instead of being (think of a word!)
I propose that head shot kills get you 75 points as opposed to the standard 50 points for a kill.
After all, shooting someone in the face is just that much more fun! |

You should rename the thread "Headhsot XP bonus" for the sake of clarity. By the way I agree anyway: +1 |

I'll be the one that disagrees with this.
Killing someone is killing someone, whether you had to shoot him twice in the head or 10 times in the chest. Headshots already reward you by being a quicker, more efficient kill.
ie. You've likely taken less damage, used less ammo, and you get a warm glow knowing that you pwned the head shot-ee.

Headshot bonuses will only promote people putting teamwork aside just so they can pop melons all day. PROMOTE, not force.
On top of that, when I set a bounty, i'm setting it on their HEAD. I'd pay less if you gave me one with a big hole in it! |

Truthiness. You get more points from a headshot anyways. Like the man said. Faster kills means you can get to killing someone else faster. |

i'd just like a little noise to know i got a headshot for satisfaction. if there was an XP boost for it 25 is way to much, because if you kill some one near a marked objective you already get 75 points for a kill, you get a headshot near an objective it would then be 100... the same as hacking. if there was an XP bonus it would need to be 5 or 10 |

Maybe a different hit marker or something, but promoting players being a "headshot [lady of the evening]" isn't the best way to promote teamwork and skews the "elite" perception to a class that really is situational and supportive to begin with. |

agreed.
As the for comments on head shot kills not promoting team work.. I fail to see your logic. People still die when you shoot them, I'm simply suggesting that people should be rewarded for having better aim and it is thus something for not-so-good players to aim for. Instead of settling with being ****.
If you really want to have a moan about neglicting team play... what about the noob mowing people down in a milita tank? - But I'm going to assume that you think thats all fine and dandy.
P.S. I'm not moaning about tanks, if anything I emplore you to use them... more SP for me :-) |

I'd rather see a significant bonus for killing an enemy near an objective or a team member. Better points for personal kills promotes greedy campers.....big rewards for saving someones butt or keeping them off our cannons promotes Camping for Team Assist. Minor difference for the shooter, Better for the Team. |

I am going to agree with no point bonus but I still like the satisfaction of knowing it was headshot. So I would like to see some short of noise indicating a headshot, an icon next to the kill on the killfeed, or just some short of acknowledgment on the screen of some sort. |

well, being a heavy i dont care much for snipers although i have tried it and can be very slow, boring and annoying at times. i say go ahead and give the guy an extra 25 points, its not like those 25 points are gunna drive everyone to snipe, becuase in DUST514, sniping is such a chore, just wait till EVERYONE gets proto suits and it takes 3 headshots with snipers lol. |

I almost always know when I headshot someone due to the fact that I didn't die in the exchange. I think a audio bonus would be cool. (Transformer transforming sound, or something) A small explosion for destroying the command center of the merc would be a cool visual cue that you had a headshot as well. |

Maybe something similar to the announcer from Unreal Tournament in Ambush, but not the other game modes. I feel the bigger games (deeper games, planetary conquest) should be as immersive as possible and that would be cheapened by the announcer thing though. |
