Why yes... But guess what? If a tank driver gets out of the M1, anyone can climb in it and get a free tank... There are no keys, just like there are no keys for fighter jets, helicopters, etc. Keys can get lost too easily. Again, no, if you get out of your vehicle on the battle field, you deserve to lose it.
As someone who just started playing with Marauders, I agree with this. However, I also agree with Garrett Blacknova that if I JUST called down my Surya, then no one but me should be able to enter it for the first 10-15 seconds of deployment. If during this current build of the beta, some jerkoff jumps into my 300k Marauder and drives off with it, I'm going to be annoyed. If the same HAV is going to cost me 500k to 1m ISK in future beta builds/launch and someone drives off with the tank I just called down. I'm going to be pissed. |

But I would take that a step further... You cannot give your tank to an unskilled player either. They can be a gunner without skills, but they cannot drive or manage the main gun without the required skills. And this would apply not only to HAVs, but LAVs and Dropships as well.
I fully support this notion. |

gangsta nachos wrote: Sorry, gangsta nachos; just seen alot of flaming/griefing, unhelpful comments similar to yours. Hard to pick up sarcasm via text if you don't know the person. I am not sure if I should see that as a compliment or insult being assumed to be an EVE'er. ;)
Its neither a compliment nor a insult anytime I see someone I believe to be a eve player which is anyone who uses a vehicle. Call it profiling but I have to throw in the adapt or die herp derp
I`m using a vehicle now, and I`m a console player through and through....
Edit: I should say I`m partially going vehicles because it`s something new and interesting to do, but also because my clan leader asked if one of us (there are 5 of my clan-mates in this beta, I think?) to kind of scout out the pros and cons for when the final build is released. |
