You can buy gold (Aurum) to convert experience from elite (fully researched) tanks and premium (paid) tanks to free experience, which can be used to research any tank part/module or a tank itself
You can buy premium time, where you earn 50% more experience (SP) and credits (ISK) in each battle, be it a loss or win
You can buy premium tanks, which have the benefit of training your tank crew faster and earning much more credits, and these premium tanks can cost up to 50Gé¼ each. There are also bundles with these tanks which give you extra gold, pre-equipped equipment, and personal reserves (boosters), such bundles will cost a maximum of 100Gé¼.
Wargaming makes a shite-ton of cash with each new premium tank they sell... and there's a new one, or two, like, every month or so.
As for a FPS, you can't really be introducing new suits all the time, you're gonna run out of options really quickly, so weapons with camo would be the money-making option, such as the ones in Dust.
I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to earn lots of money with a free to play game, Wargaming seems to do a pretty good job at that.

Well, since DUST was released for open beta, there have been like 3 Madden games and I would assume like 10 more announced. That should be more irritating.

Madden is a totally different game genre. Besides, does anyone even notice the changes (beyond rosters) to Madden year to year any more?
