If you are a DUST player and you are NOT irritated by this, let me explain why you should be.
Destiny came out AFTER DUST and before Project Nova has even been confirmed as a planned release game by CCP, Destiny has a freaking sequel.
Now are you irritated?!? I hope so.   
BTW, yes, I heard Destiny was doing a sequel a long time back but to see an actual trailer of it before Project Nova had been confirmed kind of irked me.

CCP have own ways to make games... So we have plent of time to get old...

Hopefully it'll be like Destiny 1 beta. The release of the game was **** story-wise, as well as some of the content available.

It doesn't bother me, because I played Destiny. It reminded me of Dust in that early on it made lots of promises it didn't deliver on. But at least Dust kept drawing me back.

That is because Destiny clans were a pointless joke. I doubt that will be corrected in the sequel but I could be wrong.

I also didn't care for the fact that I spent full price on a new game, and they wouldn't allow matchmaking for the end game content. I get their reasoning, but there was nothing preventing matchmaking and established parties from coexisting, just as it did in the rest of the game...

Destiny was ok but got bored of it very quickly.
Also it and its sequel have a combined budget of close to $1bn and and army of programmers greater than the total number of people that work at CCP 3 times over.

If they have random party finding for end game content I might pick the game back up, that's what ultimately killed it for me.
The multiplayer was the tightest I've ever played, at least in those small skirmishes and stuff.

I hate the console fps standard of releasing a game and then releasing a sequal 1-2 years after.
I would think it would be much better to just release one game and update that game.
Of course game company's wouldn't be getting as much money then...

I have no interest in Destiny 2. I have more interest in Battalion 1944 and as far as I know, it has no vehicles and is very old school FPS. At least I have hope in Battalion 1944 not being the same cookie cutter BS like the other mainstream FPS titles out there.

Well Overwatch does have some free weekends every now and then so you should try it sometime.
I also thought it wasn't much until I actually tried it for myself, and then I got hooked.
Edit: Not to mention they probably have the most active and communicative dev team of any game ever created (sorry CCP)

I may give it a try. I almost have the current game I am playing completed.
BTW, I am all for being nice to blue tags when they finally show their faces but don't apologize to CCP for telling what you think is true. After all, I would hope CCP would have received the message by now that they need to work on their customer service, especially on their new titles.

Destiny 3 will likely be released before any of us play Project Nova.
I tried not to expect much out of Fanfest but the little said sounded like several steps back from Project Nova release rather than toward.

Kind of sad. Sadder still, titles like that are what we are going to have to choose from definitely on consoles.

Destiny is like doing the same exact thing with the same exact outcome 500 times over ... i am so done. I still cant believe a company hasnt tried to model a game like Dust. Well like you said mainstream wants it easy ... damn those squeakers for taking skill and strategy out of modern games. |
