What wouldn't you have done?
I would have skilled into the min scout instead of caldari assault, put a cloak on the right suit instead of putting PG/CPU extenders on my assault because my standard cloak field took up too much capacity, joined an Asian corp and ISK farm for the rest of my dust career because PC would turn into sh*t.
I'd also tell everyone dust is coming on PC |

And squad up more, spent less time raging and improve scout career. Lots of missed opportunities before game became a train wreck ghost town.

I would have gone straight into dropships and dropship accessories, bought a Turbo Controller so I could cheat like everyone else, and I would have treated CCP a lot worse than I did. Also I would have account farmed ISK from day one. |

Wouldn't change a thing. I had a riot and never even raged, was laughing the whole time.
Yeah dust had flaws but it was still the most fun any game has provided me as a regular everyday player.
In a strange way those flaws made it better to play.

I would start out what I finished with! 70 mill sp and 300 mill isk. Not spreading the skill tree out or spending time playing with alts. I would have specialized logi bro and support from the start. More Sp and isk with more wins.

Even with very fast internet and direct IP address. The improvement was slight at best. My PS3 must have already burnt by that time.

Probably not at all. But for the times I was on foot I could strafe at the speed of sound and pack a fully automatic scrambler rifle. Would make it easier to watch my @ss as I waited for the RDV to bring my next ADS. |

I sometimes feel like I wouldn't. Although DUST was one of my greatest online gaming experiences, it took a ton of time from my RL and ended up being a bitter disappointment. I also still get hassled from some RL friends when I recommend upcoming games as I had recommended DUST to them. On top of that, I have also not like the track record I've had with CCP; not really ever had the feeling of a valued customer.
I don't troll; I tell the truth.

Play the game more. I stopped playing for like 2 years when I started, then came back to play again out of curiosity.
From there... everything went right. Points were all used in the right places by the end... ADS, CalAss, CalLogi, PLC, RR, LR, Magsex.
I'd just fix up the 500000 sp that I wasted in discovery time.

Would have still skilled into pretty much all the same things (I was a bit of a FOTM chaser).
I would have tried to care less about K/D and more about having fun with friends. I would have raged less.
I would have not wasted my time trying to forge a reputation in PC, spending loads of time in corps with people I didn't even like just because they had skilled players. I would have gone into corps with people I actually liked.
I also would have used my mic earlier in the game and more frequently.
Oh, and I also would have been less cringy, less of an attention-wh0re. But that was because of my age (I was 14 when I started playing DUST) so it couldn't really be helped.

Would not of changed a fvcking thing... The highs the lows, the lagging and spooky goings ons is what made the game. I played a lot of man hours but even when spending time fiddling with my fits just listening and bantering with friends and corp were part of the game. |

I would have made a different name. I was 9 million SP into the game before local chat forced me to realize the double entendre, and it was way too late to start over.
Also, I would have started off knifing rather than starting off as a sniper, although sniping was fun at first.

Unless you just loved nova knifing reds or speed hacking the min scout was the hardest to run. On paper the scouts looked about equal but in fact they were not. I had and used all 4 scouts. My favorite was the tiger min scout.
The king scout was gall. Not counting Scotsman officer scout. Why? simple you put 2 complex dampners and proto cloak and you were not scalable even by gall logi using the pro focused scanner while cloaked. Then put 2 complex precisions on high side and you were full e-war ready. The you still had 2 low slots for armor or speed.
Cald scouts were 2 though just barely in front of Amar. Why? Again 2 complex dampners and proto cloak you were not scannable while cloaked. Plus 4 high slots 1-2 precision and 2-3 shields. You also had the largest passive radar on any scouts. The thing that put it ahead of Amarr scouts was its odd hit box.
Amarr Scotts had precision bonus plus a ton of stamina. Put 2 dampners and armor plus precision and the high slot made it an anti scout or point defense. Take the armor and put kin cats plus an uplink making it a great flanker.
So now min scouts. Now to full e-war a min scout to the same level as the others you need to put on 3 complex precision AND 3 dampners plus proto cloak to be not scannable while cloaked. Leaving you with 125 shield 87 armor and 7.6 sprint speed. Fyi if you fell off anything higher than the big box container and did not hit your (what was that called again..) fall damage blocker thing... it would if not kill you put you so low on ehp a single bullet would. The biggest advantage min scouts had was speed but gall scouts could almost match it (gall scouts were slower by 0.01 sprint speed.). even then gall scouts had 2 high slots which two shields and its base armor was higher than a min scout using 3 shields AND still had better damping and precision. Doing than put a huge limit on weapons and equipment sense min scout had 80pg vs cald 87 vs gall 97 vs amarr 95+ proto kin cats cost 12 pg and shields were what 11-12 pg. Then try adding a proto cloak lol which even with the all scout classes bonus was 75% reduction CPU/PG cost. The best reasons to use min scouts were for speed hacking or nova knifing since the bonus 25% to both was nice. That why most min scouts were speed nova knifing scouts.
what to skill into next?
