Atm I'm in the middle of the university applications process. I've applied for Law, which is an undergraduate degree in the UK. In the UK you only study a single subject at university all the way through.
Right now I hold an offer from University College London (a constituent college of the University of London), and just over a week ago I did an interview at the University of Cambridge. I'll find out whether I got in in 1 month's time.
Fingers crossed! 90% of the reason I want to go is the food.

Its fun being the boogeyman, you know? Its really hard. If you're unfamiliar with traffic pumping or "access stimulation". Its where someone like me gathers up as many phones as we possibly can and dials a number in a rural area of the country over and over.
The fact these areas are rural, use CLEC's (jargon) to connect the calls. It costs AT&T, Verizon, Quest, etc a lot of money to send calls out there. The telephone companies collect the money, pay it to my handlers and my handlers pay me my cut.
Currently I'm doing about 3.5 million minutes a month, which rounds out to about $4500 a month (costs Verizon Wireless over a million dollars a month with $0.30 cent per minute termination fees) but its getting harder and harder to do it. Its an all day all night thing....but I need the money so I do it.
Other than that...just things I've mentioned in other threads. Getting married, hoping to have an epic honeymoon to somewhere great and my fiance graduating undergraduate school magna c-u-m- laude with a bachelors degree in psychology.
Googling every day for Project Nova. Always coming up empty handed. Teasing my fiance about the next chapter in 2018 of Captain America and The Winter Soldier's Bromance lol Omg Michael Epic! It's been aaaaaages.
When's the wedding? Feels like you've been engaged for a long time. Good to see you're still together.

Shamarskii Simon wrote:And alright LAW!! What kind are you looking forward to? Civil or Criminal? Most looking forward to criminal, it seems the most interesting from the somewhat limited exposure to law I've had so far. Tort (negligence) is also engaging. I've done a little bit of contracts too but I find that really dry.
I think there's only a slim chance of me practicing criminal or tort law though. Unfortunately, the excitement of the subject comes at the cost of pay (particularly with criminal). Now, I won't be blindly following the cash, but it's almost unsustainable to practice criminal law if you want your law degree to actually pay off. Since criminal proceedings are largely paid for out of public funds, the earnings of the practitioners is naturally limited.
