I'm always impressed by how much people beleive they understand the whole process and state of development despite having effectively zero publically released information to go off of.
Typically it boils down to "well it's obvious because of all these assumptions and conjectures Ive made!". Even when you have CPM and devs say "er.....no? Things are still progressing nicely." people will come back with "Well I want to beleive you but it's just more comfortable to assume the worst and freak out about it."
But I'm just the unofficial white knight, apparently, so don't mind me.

It's a pointless battle that will end is noresult other than me catching more **** for being a "white knight". Just not worth it.
If people want to be upset, who am I to convince them otherwise? I'll just find my satisfaction while I'm play testing.

Its just really annoying when people, in spite of all evidence, start saying the game is "dead" or doesn't exist just because they don't hear what they want, where they want it, and when they want it. To be fair, the CPM were under the impression that 1.3 was going to happen up until almost right before the shutdown announcement. They found out it wasn't going to happen very soon before we did, and you'll notice they went silent about it after they found out (if memory serves was only a couple weeks before we found out)

No trouble man just stating what I remember. I guess my point is that, yes of course they were talking about 1.3 because they fully believed it would happen. They of course stopped talking about it once they realized it wasn't going to happen. So it's kind of hard to accuse them of being deceptive if they were simply speaking in what they believed to be true.
Now of they had kept talking about it happening after they knew it wouldn't happen, then yes that would be deceptive and wrong. But if my memory serves, that did not happen.
I think what makes it all that much more ****** is that from what I've gleaned in passing conversation, there was actually a fair amount of work that was done on 1.3 but it got the axe from the powers to be before it could be implemented. A real shame.
