People support Trump for a variety of reasons. One being that he isn't Clinton which is probably the most malign of reasons. People who support him based on his ideas and ' facts ' are falling for Adolf H.'s rule of mass manipulation: "Tell a lie big enough and often enough and people will believe it".
If you really listen to what he says then you would see that his arguments use circular logic to circumvent the need for hard facts. This allows his persuasion to come mostly of pathos rather than logos: that is pathetic argument over logical argument.
Another notable attribute of his is the ability to play into people's fear and desires (however misconstrueded they may be) through the use of the second person when giving speeches. First person references yourself (I, me, myself, mine). Third person references a third party (They, them, theirs). Second person references the person that is being spoken to (you, yourself, yours). This is a very easy way to simulate that the speaker is speaking on.behalf of the listener. It is a very passive form of manipulation and indoctrination. It is commonly used by people like sells men and entrepreneurs trying to pitch and idea. On people who don't choose to see through the veil it is an extremely effective tactic.

Living Rock 523 wrote:... if it were up to me Trump, Clinton, and every politician from Mayors up would be drug out into the street and shot. The thing is that Humans are social creatures, so by nature anarchy cannot last for long. People will always rise above to become leaders. Democracy forces politicians to fight for the people because if they don't the people will vote them out. Politicians are there because the people chose them to be there. Bad politicians are a product of an ignorant populous.
The reason the electoral college was formed was because the Founding Fathers strongly believed that the majority of people are ignorant and that they would choose leaders unwisely. The current candidates show that this is indeed the case.
The only way to solve this is to add more transparency to the government and educate the masses more. A lot of people don't even know the powers of the President or Congress, and yet expect a lot from each when often they cannot do what people believe them capable of.
An ignorant electorate is the greatest threat to a successful democratic society.
So even if you ousted all politicians equally capable politicians would take their place because the electorate stays the same.

Anyways, they gave me a thorough understanding of economics, literature, history and human behavior. They also enhanced my reflexes just enough to be the most dangerous AV expert/Scrambler Pistol/SMG/ scrub lord, but they made sure I always PTFO'd because they didn't want me to join DUNA corp.
Here we are three years later and I now have the greatest army of alts at my disposition. Order 66 was executed flawlessly. Its execution marks the start of a new era, a fair era. The four Empires are no more. Today we mark the start of the one and true Empire. We will hunt down any traitorous Jedi and bring their order to its knees. FOR THE EMPIRE!
