Question, Does any of the devs or stake holders have any vision of the Command and Conquer isk future of Dust 514 that was kind hinted out with the first few tech demos? With the star ship toons providing installations to be dropped on the ground and give overwatch for the battle?
This one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oC9wj9wtffM
Ive actually never seen that video before, but I'm glad I have now. ******* badass.

It could have attracted hordes of players to DUST.

Huh,, was your first post.. Nice! that one video sums up everything I love about the Dust 514 experience.
Thanks for answering my question I really do feel that Dust development influence took a departure from the 3rd map overviews and dropping battle assets from orbit.
Having that 3d Map Eve side (Which Helmar talked up a lot early in interviews) would have bridged the connection far more then anything else that could be done with the limited hardware on the Ps3. Having that one feature would have bridged the Eve Dust connection as it would allow orbital eve players to feel , see and effect the battle.
I felt so strongly that because the PS3 couldn't handle large maps which would justify the investment that kind of tactical gameplay but even with the small place we had it would have made a big difference from a relationship standpoint.
When the development team started talking about war barges moving troops and stuff at that point, I felt development lost a practical vision of how Eve side could become a part of the gameplay on both sides.

1. Daddy on mummy action is NOT the URL one might assume. Rather, it's a mix of Egyptian necrophilia and other things that I'd rather not remember.
2. LogicLoop is the side effect of an experiment gone wonderfully wrong by crossing DNA of Waldo (of Where's Waldo fame) and the Silence. The entire story can be read here.

OMG I KNEW IT I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A JOKE BUT NO YOU JUST ADMITTED TO IT. Oh man. That makes me feel a little happier. Knowing it was an actual thing, and not just me being bad at the game. +1 for making me look good. i love you .-. Well. The real issue was that I was trying to get our fans more of what they wanted. Interior spaces. There was a reason why the team avoided interiors before even my arrival. Mostly it had to do with the lighting / light-mapping and its effects to file sizes and speeds. This was a performance issue they had already known existed. But I wasn't letting that stop me from trying. And with some discussions with our technical artists who thought it was possible too if limited and controlled, would probably be ok. So we tried it out and everything seemed fine. It was definitely a more expensive map in terms of frame-rates. However, when we tested it, it was still passing fine with a few dips here and there under 30fps. For reasons "unknown to me personally", it appeared to be lagging on release. We weren't really experiencing that here even through our testing. Then it seems as changes to the game were made through time the problem was only exacerbated. So yes. It was heavy, and somehow got heavier. I wasn't here for the getting heavier part haha. I've heard a similar thing about Uprising.
In internal testing and during FanFest, Uprising was performing silky smooth. Then on release, it was just a performance disaster, and CCP had no idea what's causing it.
