Galm Fae wrote:I appreciate the dev response, but having absolutely no in game lore to back up this change or even reference it still feels like an insult. It really wouldn't be too hard to have a small mention in the bottom of a Scope news report "peace talks continue following an escalation in fighting, and eventual ceasefire among planetary forces in Molden Heath." Or something along those lines. What, so the defining feature of EVE - the warring corporations - would suddenly decide to stand in a circle and hold hands?
Frame said himself that only the players of DUST will no longer be there; the corporations will continue fighting on the ground in the lore sense as always. We just won't be players in it anymore.

Yes, and it's critical to the lore of today's state of dust. CONCORD officially determined that the only way this agreement in Molden Heath would work is if they maintained the status quo without mercenaries ever gaining or losing any more power than they have, hence the absolute stagnation we've seen in recent years. Linky to the lore that explains it pls?

Alena Asakura wrote:Do you think people in Dust actually ever try EvE? It seems to me that most like one or the other. You and I and a few others of us are different, obviously, but I think the mindsets are generally too polarised - one toward FPS, the other toward MMORPG and/or space combat. I tried EVE for the 21-day trial.
At the time I was very confused, and the gameplay was a bit boring, but it's certainly something considering moving to now that DUST is dust.
But I definitely have a taste for FPS's now, which will require sustaining.
