Actually, you can already do this if you are fast.

Nope. The current duration is just about right. As people get their skills back up they will be using the regular drop uplinks which are faster. Additionally, once we get our skirmishes back, there were be a lot more places where people will plant the uplinks that are "safer".... Right now, we are in a fairly confined area so the uplinks are more vulnerable.

I would actually recommend a bit more... Put EVE style chat windows in the game... Or better yet, put EVE style voice / chat into the game and give users the ability to place the window.

Prior to an annoying incident last night I would have agreed with this, but now I am not so sure. The problem as someone pointed out in another thread is the people who use Playstation Move. Many of them are not aware that their camera has a built in microphone, so you will get too many people who lack courtesy and will be blasting their music through your comm system. Incident last night some dweeb was showing off dust to his boyfriends... Had music in the background and they were using a playstation move. Someone asked them politely to mute the microphone and the dweeb tried to argue that he needed it on so he could hear his music.
