DUST also came so close to completion and totally didn't fail to live up to its own expectations after 4 years of "it'll be better soon".
I just feel like in such a competitive market with ground breaking and inovative projects coming out, it seems backwards to want to dial back the things that made DUST stand out in favor of this continuation of "back to basics" to appeal to a wider audience. I feel it's a smarter business choice given their continued desire to keep this as a side project vs a primary focus, but that it's a failing in regards to what this game could have been.
Perhaps everything will get added in in due time and all will be amazing in New Eden. Perhaps it won't. It just seems like moving to PC was their chance to take bold action and instead they haven't even greenlit the project.

I'm the classic example of an over bitter vet.
Honestly I envy the rest of you who still feel the hope. I started as the biggest most unreasonable supporter of CCP and DUST, and now. Well, yea.
