Over the last few months acting as a private intelligence agent and military adviser, I've had the opportunity to branch out and meet with a variety of military specialist scattered across the Caldari State in support of ongoing operations. Some of these operations have required me to report in to the State War Academy to help train and equip the next generation of immortal infantry.
Today at 0700 hours local time I received a report from one such contact in the State War Academy alerting me to an ongoing series of surprise raids and firefights occurring between an unidentified mercenary faction and ill-prepared, underequiped academy cadets. These attacks took place inside low security space during an ongoing training exercise for the Caldari Navy inside a Chimera-class carrier used to ferry and house a series of junior naval aviators and marine cadets alike. In the resulting chaos it is currently unknown how the enemy combatants managed to board the ship, but it is known that most of the crew was somehow incapacitated with the exception of those immortal marines that had managed to take up arms against the invaders.
Causalities were heavy on both sides, with the battle extending far longer that originally expected due to both sides having access to sleeper-implant technology. Though this reports are not yet confirmed, it is rumored that those immortals boarding the Caldari ship were under the employment of the Serpentis Corporation attempting to gain access to the ship datalogs.
No official statement has been given by the Caldari Navy nor the Sepentis at this time, leaving many inside the intelligence community to question if such an event even took place or if it is simply classic misdirection as part of an even larger cover up. Further information is limited, and much of the information presented in this brief update was only passed to me second-hand from other veterans who were either accompanying the Caldari Navy at the time or are rumored to have taken part in the raid itself.
As many of the reports from both sides contain contradicting evidence and no official statement has yet been given, I have deemed this specific event unworthy of a full analysis report and have decided to instead pass this rumor to the mercenary community at large in hopes of gathering more information or opinions from my fellow soldiers.
Rikaato.

It's apparent to me that the target, due to its location and occupants, was selected as it was assumed that the offensive would have been a relatively easy target next to potentially raiding a Caldari Navy fleet in high security space. This absolutely isn't the first time that a team of warclones managed to board and secure an enemy ship, including operations lead by Arkcombine in support of Upwell missions and similar tactics employed by the Dread Guristas in modified prime clones.
Given the current state of the Serpentis following Operation Frostline, one might see how they would resort to assaulting a War Academy carrier for various nefarious purposes. It's likely that they had no idea that other immortal soldiers were onboard the craft at the time.

As usual Galm your professional knack for intelligence work and investigative process has allowed you to construct a very accurate and comprehensive framework of the events leading up to the incident.
I suppose it does give me a type of outlet to keep myself busy and out of trouble. As for the further intelligence you've just provided, color me reasonably impressed. Tracking down this SIG-INT really gives us a better picture of what went on on-board the ship, and its looking increasingly likely that the Sepentis managed to access the carrier by forcing the on board CRUs to manufacturer Sepentis-occupied warclones while the ship was conducting normal operations. While that would go to lengths to explain the utter lack of any intelligence on any boarding party, it also implies two things:
1) The Serpentis were well aware that the Chimera-class carrier was carrying (if not a platoon of immortal marines) an active Clone Reanimation / Rapid Replication Unit.
2) In all likelihood, unless the Sepentis were exceedingly skill at hacking into CRUs and obtaining fake State IFF tags, someone on the inside working with the cartel "opened the door" for the invading troops.
Neither is a comforting thought, but it does bring certain details of the attack to light. As for why the Sepentis may have been on board the ship... Well, that we can get into late. Good job Udorian. Don't get a big head about it.
Quote:Wel,l I installed a few cameras in there using prototype stealth technology and got footage.
I find it highly unlikely that you possessed some sort of advanced "macguffin" type technology that'd give you access to this information ex post facto. That said, I've begged borrowed and stole to get my hands on footage from on ships CCTV and security logs recently, and these leaks have already started to spread like wildfire across the mercenary community.
Quote:All I can say is that they're planning to eradicate all currently active clone mercenaries and restarting the program under a new name called Project Nova. A scheme that threatens Galactic security and CONCORD knows about it and they're not doing anything about it because they were bribed to keep this secret.
Sounds like a load of drone scrap. Sorry but the scenario you're suggesting, even from the perspective of the private intelligence community, is completely preposterous. Mercenaries are a particularly superstitious bunch, and they've been claiming that CONCORD has been attempting to wipe us from the cluster for literal years now. This even led to a series of mass biomassing and early retirements several years ago when large groups of soldiers started picking up information on a now defunct program under the moniker "Project Legion."
What people thought would end up being to be a clean-house operation turned out to just be a joint project examining the potential for future applications of immortal infantry on the battlefield. The project was met with such a negative response and superstition that it was dropped entirely and as a result research into third generation cloning technology was pushed back years.
Admittedly, working through my contacts I've heard whispers of Project Nova, with a select few contacts even openly asking for feedback from active mercenaries on how best to proceed with the project. From best I can tell though, Nova is the latest attempt to make third generation warclone technology a reality. The second generation bodies we have been using have served us well, but there are a number of obvious limitations and inefficiencies that cloning companies have yet to address in fear of meeting the same skepticism and response that Project Legion was met with.
Admittedly yes, there is word that a select few individuals may not be compatible with this change in both physicality and TacNet interface but a large majority who can afford it should be able to transition smoothly. At least, that's what I've been hearing.
Trust me, you're speaking to someone who just barely survived Heth's Purge. I've long since laid the groundwork for any bug-out procedure I may need should CONCORD, Upwell, or anyone else come for me. But for once I can reasonably say that whoever is behind this Project Nova is on our side.

I was going to make a long winded post explaining how gullible you're all acting, dissecting the exact chemical makeup of the bullshit that certain immortals have been tossing around in this thread but I like to think that most of you are smart enough to disseminate it from legitimate editions to the conversation at hand.
So far, however, you bakas are being a total disappointment.
Feel free to contribute to this sharing of intelligence, but don't poison the well by adding validity to clearly false reports by commenting on them. Otherwise I will neglect to bring further reports from the field to this environment.
