Over the last few months acting as a private intelligence agent and military adviser, I've had the opportunity to branch out and meet with a variety of military specialist scattered across the Caldari State in support of ongoing operations. Some of these operations have required me to report in to the State War Academy to help train and equip the next generation of immortal infantry.
Today at 0700 hours local time I received a report from one such contact in the State War Academy alerting me to an ongoing series of surprise raids and firefights occurring between an unidentified mercenary faction and ill-prepared, underequiped academy cadets. These attacks took place inside low security space during an ongoing training exercise for the Caldari Navy inside a Chimera-class carrier used to ferry and house a series of junior naval aviators and marine cadets alike. In the resulting chaos it is currently unknown how the enemy combatants managed to board the ship, but it is known that most of the crew was somehow incapacitated with the exception of those immortal marines that had managed to take up arms against the invaders.
Causalities were heavy on both sides, with the battle extending far longer that originally expected due to both sides having access to sleeper-implant technology. Though this reports are not yet confirmed, it is rumored that those immortals boarding the Caldari ship were under the employment of the Serpentis Corporation attempting to gain access to the ship datalogs.
No official statement has been given by the Caldari Navy nor the Sepentis at this time, leaving many inside the intelligence community to question if such an event even took place or if it is simply classic misdirection as part of an even larger cover up. Further information is limited, and much of the information presented in this brief update was only passed to me second-hand from other veterans who were either accompanying the Caldari Navy at the time or are rumored to have taken part in the raid itself.
As many of the reports from both sides contain contradicting evidence and no official statement has yet been given, I have deemed this specific event unworthy of a full analysis report and have decided to instead pass this rumor to the mercenary community at large in hopes of gathering more information or opinions from my fellow soldiers.

I can only wonder what significance does a Caldari training vessel have for a group of any kind to board and battle over, an unidentified group of clone soldiers doing such an attack makes this situation all the more puzzling. And a fake story to cover up something even larger? What could that ever be?
There isn't a lot of information here for me to form a cohesive opinion on, I'll wait and see what future reports there will be. |

It's apparent to me that the target, due to its location and occupants, was selected as it was assumed that the offensive would have been a relatively easy target next to potentially raiding a Caldari Navy fleet in high security space. This absolutely isn't the first time that a team of warclones managed to board and secure an enemy ship, including operations lead by Arkcombine in support of Upwell missions and similar tactics employed by the Dread Guristas in modified prime clones.
Given the current state of the Serpentis following Operation Frostline, one might see how they would resort to assaulting a War Academy carrier for various nefarious purposes. It's likely that they had no idea that other immortal soldiers were onboard the craft at the time.

this would reflect the new confined space combat training the legion has asked me run, to get some of newer guys up to speed at the advantages of what being immortal can bring in the event you are fighting in CQC situation.
however fighting inside a ship would be a bold direction even the pirates, my general understanding is that ship boarding during a navy engagement is almost impossible due to the amour reps most ships carry among other things...., you would in effect need to disable the ship before any kind of boarding action could be taken by which point it would be beyond use anyway.
however if the ship was in dry dock or in one of those new fancy citadel building I guess you could spring the ship from the doc assuming you got a team onboard, but I guess that would be quite easy given the dam size of the things. and then you could just clone in some crew and hay presto new battleship for your fleet... actually in that context the pirates doing a dry run makes a lot of sense.
note to self.... learn ship layouts...likely new contacts popping up soon

As usual Galm your professional knack for intelligence work and investigative process has allowed you to construct a very accurate and comprehensive framework of the events leading up to the incident.
In the last few weeks since IGÇÖve set up my Civ-Sec firm IGÇÖve become something of a GÇÿflashpointerGÇÖ... someone with a vested interest in tracking conflict zones as they emerge across the cluster meaning almost as soon as the burnzone was established information was already filtering in from pirated new streams, poorly encoded comms chatter, and hardened data caches.
As a result I was able to follow the digital signature of a foreign consultant trialing a prototype clone moulds (who likely cannot comment openly due to NDA in their operative contracts) throughout the schism.
In any case I was able to analyse scraps of data that I ascertained were a fragments of IFF codices groups like the Serpentis typically issue their operatives out of Fountain. Midway through the conflicts I noticed that one of the State Issued IFF signatures dropped from the TacNet register.
Later I recorded the purchase of an illegal proxy account based in the Fountain Region totaling in the tens of millions of ISK linked with the account registered to the same State Academy IFF to which consultation payments had been made. This Fountain based account was subsequently used to pass the unnamed employers screening processes and accept several of these private contracts.
The then issued IFF fragments I was able to snipe from the encoded employment details I then later matched to a particular operative who later appeared in conflicts between the State Academy and Serpentis forces.
I have techs back at the offices analyzing the data from my full-dive but as of yet I can't piece together a motive for the assaults... with NDA's in place there's aren't many first hand sources that can talk about exactly what they were doing on that particular carrier.

Galm Fae, have you tracked down any of the survivors on board the Chimera to get any possible leads to whoever did this unspeakable crime against State War Academy cadets? My condolences for the cadets who were there that gave their lives defending the chimera.
However my personal thoughts on the issue tells me that this was a smokescreen leading up to a much bigger and upcoming event that combines intelligence, diplomacy, military, scientific, economic and political departments across New Eden. I am talking about a force that operates on covert means for expanding it's sphere of influence. On infiltration instead of invasion, subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice. These are armed guerrillas that have no jurisdiction and yet they're so spread out across New Eden instead of Planetary Ground Forces by day.
I'm sorry to say this but this is a system that has been put in place since YC114, when one of the individuals of the Templar program went renegade and delivered the Immortal Mercenary technology that somehow ended up in the hands on all four major empires. The very same force that created the clone soldier and the very same force that gave rise to The Drifters in wormhole space that ultimately were paid in a massive sum of Isk to stage incursions in Amarr space.
What these guys are capable of is unspeakable, from key assassinations of political leaders to even bringing an entire empire down to it's knees through any kind of scenario like economic collapse, to a revolution or even causing a political leader to go mentally insane, like the late Tibus Heth.
I am risking my life here to bring you guys this information, all I can say is they've deeply infiltrated almost all Empires and factions to even as far as CONCORD itself. They're toying with these factions and events like it's a game of tactics.
How do I know of this is because a immortal mercenary working for no intelligence agency so happens to discover this deception and master plan, like myself, is putting everything on the line to provide this information to you. Because these unfortunate events that are happening right now as we speak, is soon going to unfold like never before seen in the history of New Eden.
All I can say is that they're planning to eradicate all currently active clone mercenaries and restarting the program under a new name called Project Nova. A scheme that threatens Galactic security and CONCORD knows about it and they're not doing anything about it because they were bribed to keep this secret.
I will saw the tables of solitude. They say that death is no longer an option.

I suppose it does give me a type of outlet to keep myself busy and out of trouble. As for the further intelligence you've just provided, color me reasonably impressed. Tracking down this SIG-INT really gives us a better picture of what went on on-board the ship, and its looking increasingly likely that the Sepentis managed to access the carrier by forcing the on board CRUs to manufacturer Sepentis-occupied warclones while the ship was conducting normal operations. While that would go to lengths to explain the utter lack of any intelligence on any boarding party, it also implies two things:
1) The Serpentis were well aware that the Chimera-class carrier was carrying (if not a platoon of immortal marines) an active Clone Reanimation / Rapid Replication Unit.
2) In all likelihood, unless the Sepentis were exceedingly skill at hacking into CRUs and obtaining fake State IFF tags, someone on the inside working with the cartel "opened the door" for the invading troops.
Neither is a comforting thought, but it does bring certain details of the attack to light. As for why the Sepentis may have been on board the ship... Well, that we can get into late. Good job Udorian. Don't get a big head about it.
Quote:Wel,l I installed a few cameras in there using prototype stealth technology and got footage.
I find it highly unlikely that you possessed some sort of advanced "macguffin" type technology that'd give you access to this information ex post facto. That said, I've begged borrowed and stole to get my hands on footage from on ships CCTV and security logs recently, and these leaks have already started to spread like wildfire across the mercenary community.
Quote:All I can say is that they're planning to eradicate all currently active clone mercenaries and restarting the program under a new name called Project Nova. Sounds like a load of drone scrap. Sorry but the scenario you're suggesting, even from the perspective of the private intelligence community, is completely preposterous. Mercenaries are a particularly superstitious bunch, and they've been claiming that CONCORD has been attempting to wipe us from the cluster for literal years now. This even led to a series of mass biomassing and early retirements several years ago when large groups of soldiers started picking up information on a now defunct program under the moniker "Project Legion."
What people thought would end up being to be a clean-house operation turned out to just be a joint project examining the potential for future applications of immortal infantry on the battlefield. The project was met with such a negative response and superstition that it was dropped entirely and as a result research into third generation cloning technology was pushed back years.
Admittedly, working through my contacts I've heard whispers of Project Nova, with a select few contacts even openly asking for feedback from active mercenaries on how best to proceed with the project. From best I can tell though, Nova is the latest attempt to make third generation warclone technology a reality. The second generation bodies we have been using have served us well, but there are a number of obvious limitations and inefficiencies that cloning companies have yet to address in fear of meeting the same skepticism and response that Project Legion was met with.
Admittedly yes, there is word that a select few individuals may not be compatible with this change in both physicality and TacNet interface but a large majority who can afford it should be able to transition smoothly. At least, that's what I've been hearing.
Trust me, you're speaking to someone who just barely survived Heth's Purge. I've long since laid the groundwork for any bug-out procedure I may need should CONCORD, Upwell, or anyone else come for me. But for once I can reasonably say that whoever is behind this Project Nova is on our side.

I take no offense to the term "Drone Scrap." That was the primary saying to label either:
A: The individual or a group of individuals are under watch from local intelligence by dismissing their claims as conspiracy theories while they themselves are given the selected information from their commanding superiors.
B: A type of disfigured speech between the individual that may or may not have overheard the so called "Project Nova" from rumors or a rumor within rumors, thus spreading mass hysteria to the local populous, and will never make it on the next episode of "The Scope" broadcasting corporation.
That's the definition of "Drone Scrap" from my point of view, unless you view it from a different prospective.

And just to how were you able to monitor the proceedings of those training exercises the State War Academy was host to prior to the assaults?
As one of those foreign consultants (I'm at least allowed to disclose that information) hired to provide instruction in the use and application of force required to defeat Amarrian manufactured dropsuits I was assured that the Carrier had been swept from top to bottom for recording devices.
How the Serpentis managed to infiltrate was a miracle... it must have required and obscene amount of ISK as well since favours called in from across the cluster.

I will need a way to hide myself in a way that I can say I escaped in one of the escape pods every time I die and get back in a third gen combat clone as soon as I can safely attain and use them and kill the people who did this. I will need something to force an immortal to stay in infomorph form first. I heard of a device with that capability but from my knowledge it was designed for first gens and is in the State's hands so that will be a huge roadblock unless I have inside help. After I get my revenge I will bury the device deep in null-sec where no one can find it.
ps. I will send a combat log from the attack after I can get the data encrypted

Sending encrypted data..... decrypting data..... combat log created yesterday at 21:00
subject Slayer Deathbringer walked into his data room at 21:30 and rewatched combat recordings from the Chimera class vessel. at 21:45 Slayer Deathbringer heard his missile turret firing and grabbed his Storm Raiders commando. when he identified the attackers he picked up his experimental assault combat rifle after throwing a C-7 flux grenade after unloading the entire clip Slayer Deathbringer pulled out his CreoDron shotgun and blasted one of his attackers heads off and then swiftly leaped back and crushed another attacker wearing a scout suit. then he felt a rifle shot pierce his shielding and went behind cover and dropped a remote explosive and waited until the sniper repositioned then threw one down while activating te other sensing the remote explosive at the sniper killing them instantly then waited for his armor to repair then dropped two Allotek hybrid nanohives and as if on cue a sentinel unloaded an HMG and when the sentinel got close enough Slayer Deathbringer he pulled out his shotgun and emptied the clip in the sentinel's head and then punched the support that was healing the sentinel in the face until the support said "no matter how many of us you kill we will always come for you old fool" and in response Slayer Deathbringer said well even if you come back you only have so many suits you only have so much isk so you will leave me alone unless you plan on burning billions of isk trying to kill me and then threw the support into the firing line of a blaster turret and then activated his sweeper on his wall console and destroyed the drop uplinks then switched to a Gallente scout dropsuit and snuck up on and killed the remaining attackers when one last attacker in a scout dropsuit identical to his own shot at him and missed which caused Slayer Deathbringer to say "for a third gen you are a terrible shot!" then the scout shot at him again and Slayer Deathbringer leaped above the scout and landed two shots i the head and while walking away told the scouts corpse "Come on point-blank range with a shotgun and you miss!" then walked to his data room and finished watching the recordings, then left and went to a nearby bar
end combat log transmission ended

And micro jump fields .... really....rrrreeeaaaalllyyy so yeh I can bullshit but cool story bro.
Adamance it's perfectly possable an insider just flipped the switch on the CRU. We know the empires have their own clone forces and sadly the only thing that can put down one clone is another clone. Which explains why it would escalate so fast.
(OCC: don't expect other mercs to belive what you write we can all call BS on what you say IC and will do so if you start god modding nothing personal. It's just how we stop death jove robot characters from popping up) Yes, because that revashokad was the only one there. Your theory would be plausible if it didn't include the fact that some of us were on contract there as well. Feel free to provide an explanation as to why I, Aeon Amadi, would have been anywhere near a State Chimera - let alone anywhere near him.
Hay man look I don't no the details of what went down. Was it a traning op or somthing more? Their is battle footage running around now abs they sure didn't look like a friendly training environment to me.
And pretty simple ad to why you would be their... for the isk you know just like everyone else. No merc worth his salt would turn down blackop that gives him an Intel advantage on a possable new battlefield

No merc worth his salt would turn down blackop that gives him an Intel advantage on a possable new battlefield i was busy killing CONCORD kill squads but i still reaped rewards mainly the suits and weapons but the implants as well I have a contact that owns drifter harvesting tech allegedly. so if my investigation finds this contact legit I may be able to harvest implants from these third gens and save myself and at least some of you

Concord kill squads. You claim to be able to kill concord agents. I'm sorry man even I can't kill concord kill squads and one of the best around...
I can escape concord sure but take on kill squad I can only think of a handful of people who could do that .... if they got lucky

Why would they do that?

Because despite what you chose to believe about me above all things we are professional mercenaries and contracts are contracts.

Then it was not concord who attacked you and likely a false flag op. If concord wanted you dead they would just wait till the next time you clone jumped and impounded your mind in much the same way they empire delt with the crazy templar issue.
They do control the network are minds float on after all

They do control the network are minds float on after all yea and I haven't died in awhile also I am working to get my mind off the grid so that they have to kill me themselves and forcibly remove my implant. I'm using modified skill extractors to clone jump so they can't trace it or intercept it currently.

Nope they don't.
