AFAICS, there are six classes to choose from. Has the fitting system been axed? Can we expect to be restricted to preset and rigid classes, or is this likely to be more of a guideline?
Borderline dealbreaker for me here.
Fitting was half the fun of Dust.

I've literally gone through hundreds of fits in my DUST time and tinkering was great fun. A simplified fitting system doesn't necessarily mean a worse one. It could be done with more finesse. In the demo (and yes, I appreciate that that is not necessarily the state of affairs, which is why this thread exists - asking for clarification) you can pick from 'classes' and those are your exact fits. There's no changing them. A few articles, like the polygon one, heavily imply this as well.
I sincerely hope such a feature was purely for demo purposes.
Can you imagine how much playing I would do if I could customize in a FanFest Demo?
None.
I would spend all of my time tinkering with fits

This doesn't exactly answer the question, but I'm hopeful it implies a certain amount of customisation. Progression is intended to be simple enough that a new player won't bugger themselves, while retaining the actual progression of personal power.
Dropsuit Command V anyone?
