Assuming you at some point have to move ammo, fuel, and other needs around you would need some sort of space for moving the ammo around the ship. Not to mention many of these ships provide spacious interiors if only due to the mobility needs of the ship. Repairing things in a ship of this size requires more than a small team, it requires heavy work vehicles, haulers, and other heavy-duty vehicles to do maintenance. This provides ample room for tanks. The fighter areas and other hangar and storage compartments are also sizably large, perhaps even big enough for ariel vehicles to play a role as well. For ****'s sake all you've seen is a 6v6 convention demo specifically designed so that people who've never seen the game before can just walk up and play it while they're waiting for the next presentation to go to. We now have at least a dozen articles on almost every gaming website with Snorri (CCP Rattati) describing how he wants to start with nailing down the basics but then wants to take the game as far as he can possibly go. NO part of that is "this smal demo is all we're doing for the game". I need to go eat something so I can stop vibrating with rage.
