 ....Wow, the ADDICTION to this game was incredible!
When CCP respectfully gave their notification to us that the Server was going down on this game, one of the FIRST and the ONLY things Rattati said (....you remember Rattati, right? He's the one so many of us say we trust as reliable and helpful and believable in this distrusting New Eden environment...)
....Rattati said, we SHOULD NOT expect this early-in-development PC game to be anything substantial yet, NOR should we expect it to have any kind of resemblance to Dust 514 (in other words NOT a Dust 2.0, or a NotLegion fps, or a Dust on PC, etc.).
In spite of that cool advice from who many of us considered a cool CCP-rep, you want to ignore the advice, and wind your blood pressure up, hold your breath for a peek at "ULTIMATE PC DUST", ooooh.....
Like Rattati expressed in his post: Your only being unfair to the game and unfair to yourselves if you put on all these Dust-expectations and Dust-restrictions.
"Dust 514" is not reproducible. It's not dead (I won't say that----the game is just halting further development because the Server is being switched off... who knows what PS6 will bring, LOL).
But the game that you know and love (even though you don't want to admit how much you love and are addicted to the game exactly in its exclusive PS3 construction)... the game you know and love will not reappear in a reproduced, refined, "fixed" way on PC. Even the announcement on Dust game screen points out that they've come to the conclusion that Dust's game mechanic and the planned Legion game mechanic they previously intended is not something they can accomplish on PC.
Whatever sneek-peek shows up in Fanfest 2017, (not Fanfest 2016, because that's way too early), it won't run like Dust 514, and won't run like a BETTER Dust 514.
It will only have New Eden gadgets and gear and vehicles roaming around in it.
Hopefully that will be enough to please you players (....even though it won't be nearly enough to please ones like me ).
...And my Dust 514 commemorative Tee-shirts are due to be delivered to me by May 6th. Rock-on!
