Hey 
First off, loving the starmap currently, can see it being a great tool for finding battles and so on later on, as well as seeing the politics of the game.
Now, I know it's probably not finished yet, but/so I'd like to request if it'll be possible to add a feature to make flatten the map to 2D, like in EVE. Simply because I started to find it confusing & got lost on the map eventually with all the rotating & spinning ( I have the same problem on EVE when that's 3D too. I'm just bad with moving maps  )
Also possibly the ability to change regions/constellations/stars/planets with the pad & not just the joystick...just for choices sake
Could see it beign a useful tool eventually to have filters like in EVE, where you can see info such as # of battles, Alliance/corp territory, 'hot' zones and so on.

Things I would like to see in the star map.
[ul]
* Add highlighting to currently selected region/constellation/system
* Add list of current level entities on left, with current location as header, EG: all the systems in Chimera in a list, under New Eden > Fountain > Chimera
* Left stick moves the pans the map freely, no clicking to regions. When over a region it is selected in the list.
* Add dpad support for the list, so that up down changes entity, and centers the map on it, left goes up a step, and right goes into it.
* Add a button to select what area you are in. EG : in 6VDT - IV, r1 brings you to fountain, if in fountain, brings you to chimera, if in chimera brings you to 6VDT, if in 6VDT brings you to 6VDT -IV

I support that any idea that gives me a list of the planets and systems in question. As it is now it's rather daunting to navigate. |

Good question. I heard someone say on comms yesterday that they were able to zoom all the way down to the planet, which if true would mean that we could go check it out in EVE... Unfortunately the closest I could get was the constellation so there would be way too many systems and planets to search... |

I dont think currently. It's not on the tranquility server at all so they probably havn't bothered Checked yesterday and you can't look up Dust players yet anyway. |
