What do you all define as being "scrub"?
I ask because I am hard pressed to think of anything that should be described this way, other than a tactic that exposes you to zero risk.
I'm not asking what tactics define scrub, mind you, I'm asking the actual definition, not examples.
Most of what people call "scrub" are easy to use, hard to counter tactics. I personally don't see this as a negative - these are built into the game and therefore to me are legitimate tactics - they make me work harder to improve; they are a challenge.
Please help me understand why someone who complains about "scrub" tactics is anything other than someone who is upset that they got beat with tactics that are easy to master?
I am not a fan of the phrase "adapt or die", but to me, we should learn to counter these types of tactics. We should use them to become better - to learn new ways to engage the enemy.

Perhaps we should expand "scrub" to those that don't read the OP, and give a response not requested as well?

All proto gear users All officer gear users All proto tank drivers All myotard jumpers SNIPERS Battle leavers RE scouts So basically what you are saying is that you are, in fact, the classical scrub. And no, that's not an insult. Aside from the battle leavers example, all of these individuals are simply doing what is necessary for them to win yet you are blaming them for it rather than overcoming it. This is the prime example of a self-created prison of fictional rules that only a scrub can come up with. The game itself knows nothing about such ethics and conduct. Pay attention class, because this is EXACTLY what makes a scrub. Toomany, I'd recommend you take some time to reflect on your mindset. Lmao I'm a scrub because I use gear with which it is harder to win? You're thinking in the opposite way m8, and DO NOT insult me, how you like to be insulted? IT AIN'T COOL.
He is saying you are a scrub because you believe you are helping by limiting your choices on purpose, and that once you accept there are valid ways to win other than those you have morally deemed acceptable you will no longer be a scrub.
In fact, your doggedness in your reply if proof of what Himoko says, if you subscribe to Himoko's definition of "scrub".

What you need to do is figure out what you did wrong in the previous match. The only way you can become a good player is by learning from your mistakes. I'm actually a pretty decent player, sure, I learned that going solo against a proto calass with an ACR is a bad idea.
It's not actually a bad idea; a Proto CalAss gets no bonuses to an Assault Combat Rifle. I think you might have mean ARR, and ACR.

You are both missing my point, and further clarifying that you are in fact a scrub. You may not like it, I may not like it, but jumpy mass drivers are here, they are within the rules, and people will and should use them. The difference between us is that I don't call someone a name for playing within the rules. They are not ruining the game. They are trying to win, which is a hell of a lot more than you do. If I had to choose between you and any other blue dot, you would be sitting on the bench, because no one who wants to win wants people with a bunch of e-honour constructs on their team. You keep making up your own rules, and still losing, should make for tons of fun in whatever game you take your toxic mindset to next.
I would argue that your attitude is toxic, not their opinion. You can disagree with someone's opinion without the conversation devolving to what you just did.

I find this hilariously ironic in the most delightful ways.
This is my take as well; if this gamer weren't on its deathbed, then perhaps CCP would fix things that they determine are broken. In my mind, if you feel it is broken, then do as Ripley said and prove with stats it is broken. But since the game is all but dead, it doesn't matter. CCP won't say anything is broken, so it's not. And since they won't change anything, there is no reason to complain. Use it.

Pretty sure I am well established as an *******. Should be a orange tag under my name. Doesn't change the fact that sparky needs to either alter his mindset or change games. Or be happy as a casual. Would you not heap scorn upon someone who showed up to a track meet barefoot and calling those in shoes scrubs after they lose? What would you do if you were sitting at a table, and the person across called you scum for putting hotels on the Oranges after free parking? Would you give them a polite dissertation on the structures of rules and the affirmative consent of starting to play a game under said rules? Or would you ask them if they were special then tell them to enjoy playing the new solo monopoly at their own house? It takes a village to raise a child, and not everyone needs to be supportive.
I'm not talking about him - I'm talking about you. You should change your mindset. Your toxicity is one of the reasons these forums are horrible to visit.
