The definition of scrub is that Breakin Stuff guy. He's a Scrublord.
On a more serious note, I call everyone a scrub, but the real ones are the ones who don't ever lose because they got outplayed, or out-tactic'd. If you pull away all of the gimmick fits and clearly whacked stuff, they're the ones who in a perfectly balanced game will claim that every death they have earned is because the other guys are cheating, the other gear is unfairly superior, squad gangups are inherently unfair, etc.
Anything to avoid admitting they might have done something stupid and paid the price for it, or admitting their opponent might actually be... you know... good at the game?

What you need to do is figure out what you did wrong in the previous match. The only way you can become a good player is by learning from your mistakes. I'm actually a pretty decent player, sure, I learned that going solo against a proto calass with an ACR is a bad idea. I do it anyway.
LEMMING POWER!
Fastest way to get your counter to a tactic up is to die in DUST.
It's why I do stupid crap like stand in front of a maddie, not moving and shooting them with something harmless. They always fall for it.
Thirty seconds later: FORGEGUN!

What I've learned from this thread is that trying to win is apparently shameful.
I find this hilariously ironic in the most delightful ways.

Summa Militum wrote: I read through this entire thread and no one mentioned anything about a scrub being someone who calls someone out for using an easy tactic instead of focusing on bettering their gungame.
Good one Summa, but I believe that falls under the "making excuses for poor performance" blanket.
gungame. there's a useless metric in the context of a combined-arms first person shooter encompassing direct-fire, indirect-fire and area-of-effect weapons.
I always found the insistence that anyone who did not just us a rifle of some kind and strafing being somehow lesser amusing as ****. Whenever someone tries to call me out for using (insert unfavored tactic here) I laugh, because I still won because you couldn't exploit the weaknesses of my chosen tactics and methods.

Excuse me while I laugh my ass off at the idea that something is in the game because "It suits one of the CPM's to have it there."
Jesus I haven't laughed that hard in a while.
Thanks for the giggle.

Just because we may or may not like something does not mean the devs will go with our suggestions for, or to the contrary.
This delusion people have that we somehow are allowed to dictate game balance and development is almost adorable in it's naivete.

This delusion people have that we somehow are allowed to dictate game balance and development is almost adorable in it's naivete. The game speaks for itself. It's less and less enjoyable every day. You think that conforms to the concept of CCP or CPM wanting what's good for the game? It may be good for certain people who benefit from it, not for the poor cannon fodder that are being blasted in pubs. That's nice, have a cookie.
It's the same cookie we've all been nibbling on since 2014, so it's a little stale. might take some getting used to.
If you want to make the game better, go earn the skills to become a developer and do better.

If you want to make the game better, go earn the skills to become a developer and do better. Your attitude speaks volumes. You see nothing wrong with the way the game is going. You deserve the game to die. It mustbe nice, being able to intrinsically know what's going on in my mind, or the other CPMs.
Which is more likely, that we don't care?
Or is it more likely that I feel zero obligation to justify myself to people who spit, whine and make accusations?
My posting history from beta onward should answer that question.

As Nick Fury said slightly modified 'Take the game how it is not how you'd like it to be.'
In my experience, accusations of scrubbery usually revolve around people not playing the way the accuser thinks they should and succeeding despite his/her belief in the superior display of skill/setup/insert personal bias here.
Normally "i can't win this is broken versus a player who says "I can beat it, but it's not fun, or worth the expenditure for the rewards you get."
In my experience, myofibs/MD/Flaylock are easily countered by AHMG sentinels. I will admit we need a few more counters peppered here and there because some people fecking DESPISE playing sents. Having a couple counters among other classes won't ruin the game.
For the people who just think jumping should not exist? I have no sympathy. Opinions are not the sole basis by which design decisions should be made.
As I told one player who said "X means the game is not fun and it needs to change!"
"No, just because it is not fun for YOU does not mean that the gameplay has no value. If you can provide me clear proof that a majority or even a sgnificant minority (1/4th of the player base) of people hate X I will re-evaluate it on my priority list. Until then, f*ck off."
