AFF looks pretty ******* terrible.
Like a worse version of PS2 if that is even possible.

Like a worse version of PS2 if that is even possible. The graphics are pretty bad but what is really cool is that they have managed to incorporated infantry boarding combat, with dog fighting, warships, and that both affect one another. I mean AFF is essentially an Indie game developed by a small team as opposed to Planetside 2 development team.
But how does it affect me? why should i bother boarding something if it means nothing.
The mechanics are there but nothing else is.

The mechanics are there but nothing else is. I'm all for games that include ' actions with meaning' that said it doesn't mean that I cannot enjoy games that feature good mechanics and game play outside of some overarching context. If you want to do something meaningful go produce your own game, write a book, break into the music industry, become a world renown scientist rather than ***** about an indie game in early development.
Never said the mechanics are good, i said they are there.
Meaningful in the game, like with dust means to an end in AFF what is it?
Why cant ppl seperate game from life?
