The game is ending so if you are one of the people who keep quitting without even trying to see what you can do in the match then use this last little bit of time we have to HTFU and stop running off like little *******.
Thank you for your time. I see more blueberries than redberries leaving the match at the start. The result of the unbalanced way matchmaking puts all the squads on the one team, I imagine. When you're an habitual solo as I am, you're always on the team with the dregs against the other team stacked to the gills with squads. It's highly unusual for me to see squads on my team and so it's quite common to be stomped.
People leave the match for a number of reasons. My main one is when I'm dumped into a match that's half over, on the team that's losing. What makes anyone think I'm willing to take over being stomped from someone that's had the wisdom to leave before they've wasted too much of their time and effort?
The other reason I personally leave matches is when it becomes obvious that my team is being stomped and most of them have already left. At this point, of course I can just switch to BPO fits and complete the match, and if I already have a decent WP score I sometimes do that. However if I have just been continually stomped and haven't made really any headway, I have no difficulty whatsoever in denying the stompers the rest of the match stomping me. If I'm not enjoying it, why should I continue to play??
I consider stompers the lowest of the low. Yes, it's CCP's fault that stompers exist in the first place, but people don't have to do it just because they can. |

I know how to distinguish the difference between individual redberries getting dc'd and entire squads simultaneously dropping out of a match. Yes, it's quite obvious when an entire squad leaves. And it's always right at the start of the match. Is it because they don't like the map, or the players in the other team, perhaps? Whatever the reason, entire SQUADS leave in their numbers at the very start of a match. |

About the quitters... maybe they would love to have a goodlooking kdr at the end of Dust?
I can never condone the whole KDR obsession. It leaves me cold. But yes this could be a good reason for it. Me, I'd rather just keep dying again and again, to get the kills that give me the ISK and SP....
But not if I'm being stomped of course. There's no good ISK or SP for the stomped.
The more the stomped leave matches the less kills the stompers get. Sounds like a really good strategy to me. :) |

I wouldn't play the new game if it weren't FPS. Perhaps the term FPS is misplaced. Yes, of course it will be a FPS, but it doesn't have to be a lobby shooter. In the EvE universe it can be completely fluid with battles starting up spontaneously everywhere and anywhere and people joining and leaving as they like. That's what I was getting at. |

- I'm one of 3 people on a full team anywhere near the objective doing anything. If I look at the spawn in map and I see half the team off in the hills sniping and all that, I'm out. If they're not gonna put their suits on the line, neither am I, they can take their crap point counts and loss themselves. - When the framerate & lag is so bad I can't do anything and die every time I spawn somewhere useful before I can even aim a weapon. ( This is generally in direct proportion to the amount of Gen Tso's Alliance members on field, blue or red... ) - When the majority of the team is in vehicles and doing nothing to actually help the map. A few vehicles can be effective. 8 people in vehicles are not effective. 8 people in vehicles will lose, no question about it. My fav is when you get a map where there's no line of sight from the roads to important stuff ( meat grinder for instance ), but you still get those dudes out in tanks and dropships circling the city. And then you see the killboard and you're like, "Yep, you didn't do a gd thing. Congrats on your 100WP."
Other than that, I'll pretty much give whatever a college try, and even if my team is losing and dying, there's generally ways to skirt the edges, sap installations, and pick your 1v1's in a smart way to come out ahead even though your team is getting it's rear end handed to it.
But in general I say don't worry too much if people are bailing. Everyone has their own reasons, or just gets dc'd for that matter. Play your own game and let the dots on the map play theirs. ^this. Assuming that people leave the match because you're just so good at this game that they don't want to fight is just....gross. In fact I bet some of them leave just because they find some player's play style annoying like spawn camping or certain trolls who play to grief other players (shotty aslt, min heavy with knives, you pick any of the many troll fits). I'm just suggesting that if we didn't want people to leave matches maybe we should have been playing to win matches and not trying to find the next fotm fit to make the opposition rage. *steps off soap box* I agree with this. The rewards for winning are nowhere near good enough in pubs. So people don't try to win they just try to pad their kdr. |

They're getting low mu players as squad leads and qsync low mu pubs. There's no way match making can be so ****** that so many high sp proto players would be matched against npc players . High sp players would atleast create their own corp and use advance or basic, But we're seeing 10 or 12 npc players with basic against 10 high sp proto players and more than 6 of the high sp players from the same corp Yes, I'm seeing this also. I typically play in BPOs and I'm not a particularly high scorer, so I expect to be up against basic to advanced players, but I'm just getting one match after another with ck.0, gk.0, mk.0 and ak.0 everything. There seem to be more gk.0 and then ck.0 than the others, but there's definitely all of them represented. Non-proto players don't have a hope.
I've even tried to bring out my State ck.0 scout and assault and Neo ck.0 assault and logi and I just get blown away so I've stopped wasting suits now. The proto players are better than just their skills and their suits - their experience of how to win is what does it for them. |
