Dust players on the ground wearing their best gear, Proto or Officer or whatever.
Orbital Strike on all 32 of us.
21 gun salute for us. And a killmail that shows we existed and what our best/favorite gear we wore.
(For those who don't know, an EVE killmail is saved to the server which can be looked up via API like so.)
What do you guys think?

But they aren't firing all 21 guns at the same time.. 
In any case, there will be plenty of time to get off 3 strikes. We probably aren't even going to really fight for the districts either so we could drop more than just a 21 gun barrage.

Just going to add we should also try and hit the vehicle limit and cluster those all with us as well.
If possible, one player stands back to get some screens of before and during them rushes in to die himself. If you get 7 turrets pointed at the ground it should be long enough.

That's another thing I was thinking of and would love to do:
1) Hit the vehicle limit and let the fireworks be even bigger.
2) Get someone with a capture card to record all of it and put the shenanigans on Youtube for the memories.
I can only imagine what the comms would be like too. I hope that can be captured as well!

I have a capture card, as far as comms go, I can't record that i know of. I can tinker with it a bit to try and make it work. I'm in the market for a new capture card anyway so I can always get a new one if I'm not able to record comms at all.

Just curious so I can plan accordingly.
We're look at either on May 14th (since 514), or that date and on. Last few weeks of Dust to give it a feel of a final sendoff. But if there's a lot of support (which it looks like there is), we might start from May 14th and continue until the closing of the servers so everyone has a chance to do this.
By the way, I'll be a little delayed on updating the list, but I'll make sure we have something to show there's plenty of support to do this (in case EVE pilots want to know).

Hey guys! I'm so glad to see the continued support for this thread! Seeing this support has lifted my spirits to make this be a thing and maybe even leave a dent in the EVE universe. One where we go out with a bang.
I'll see what I can do for channel support as I'll need an EVE toon to help with moderating it.
As for the dates, I'm looking at the calendar and the last weekend of May looks to be good.
May 27th through May 30th seem to be good dates. Pencil it in for now but I might extend it back a bit to May 26th should there be time constraints for people.
So please tentatively pencil in May 27th through May 30th. I'll be in contact with people and look to finalize those dates. I will also update my initial post with this info.

IGÇÖll try to get in touch with some of you guys that have EVE pilots to see if we can scramble you to the different systems, but itGÇÖs highly unlikely weGÇÖll be able to pull this off today.

Here is an Impromptu organization of the dwindling player base to get on an Eve killmail via an orbital bombardment--a record keeping memento for players to have before Dust 514 shuts down on May 30th, 2016. However, to our dismay there is a bug in recording of killmails for faction warfare battles. We will reattempt this final send off party with a planetary district battle on the 27th and 30th.
Despite not achieving our goal of a killmail, thank you to all those to stuck with it for today's hiccups and system disconnects. Dust is real, you were there. It was an honor to die with you.

My only regret was not dropping in my best suit at the time of the OB the killmail being the objective.Luckily the kill mail seems to be glitched.I haven't checked today but of it shows up I've been immortalized on zkillboard as a logi who is beefy as heck but only carries a nano.=ƒÿä

Great to see all the support! We have some corporations that are willing to participate and are setting the timers. Right now I have them set to 20:00 and 21:00, but I know there might be some people not able to come at those times. If you can't make around those times, let me know here so I can set some up differently.
Show's about to start! 2 more days until the event! Remember, anyone is welcome to come in and participate, but spots may be limited. We might have to start a priority queue from the sign-up list or a first-come first-serve basis in the channel. If we get more districts though, we might have to worry about that at all though!
One more thing to note and put a little rule on: If you have already participated and someone else who hasn't wants the slot, please let them have it. It's common sense and courtesy, but I figured I'd put that out.
