Actually very low TTK is the opposite of a tactical shooter. Look at CoD and BF, they have extremely low TTK and are called "twitch" shooters because they rely on quick reflexes and awareness. Tactical shooters rely on actual tactics, such as placement, weapon choice, ect. Why would weapon choice mean anything if they all kill at 100m in one shot?

Most modern tactical shooters have evolved into "cover" shooters now, but they still have more roots in tactical shooters than twitch shooters.

The words have evolved over the years. Just like "hardcore and casual" have. Hardcore used to mean, if you died you lost everything and started over, and casual meant, well, not that..

Now hardcore means "I have no life and play all day, whereas casual means I can only play a couple hours a week.

I really feel console players have very different perspective on what means "tactical"

for me , tactical is VERY VERY low TTK, less dancing and shooting, more sneaking, gathering intel, positioning, gear.\

but looking at dust bunnies, tactical means enough TTK to make a sandwich in the meantime, duels are decided by who has the highscore in dance dance revolution, whatever you do, just DON'T TRY TO AIM IN A CROUCHED POSITION!!

Seems like most PC gamers are as mindless as the point and click shooters they play. And this is coming from an ex-PC gamer who also had no issues using a DS3 or a M/KB.

Really though, this is a console game, moving to PC, where most current players would rather not play. Why attack the console players who are a little butthurt that a game they enjoy is moving to PC?

And it was a PC franchise to begin with, moving to PS3.

Now the thing here is... OP is extremely butthurt... to the point of it being definitely not understandable. He enjoys the game. Ok. I do too. But OP basically says he won't play it on PC, just because it would be on PC. That is definitely not reasonable. This is not about being angry or anything... this just lacks any logic. Especially if he likes the game so much... why not get a 300 - 400 buck PC instead of a 400 buck PS4 if he wants to play it? UE4 can scale down pretty good and runs even on older systems playable. OP isn't even thinking about that, just because "it's on PC".

Also when it comes to Point & Click shooters I think Call of Duty was most popular on consoles. Not that this is part of the topic now.

Because the communities are very different. PC gamers tend to be older, (im 30, and young for a PC gamer.) PC players also tend to have a "can't lose" attitude, spreadsheeting and powergaming, even going as far as creating hacks to win.

While console gamers tend to be younger and more laid back, playing mainly to have fun rather than prove he has the biggest pixel-peen around. Not to say that console gamers are not competitive though.

Also I would have gotten a PC just for the next iteration of DUST, but the way CCP has handled this game I will not be playing any other CCP game ever.

Controller is better for several reasons, and mouse is better for several reasons. Both are equal. Take this from a guy who has played years of games both on PC and console.

Well, I have tried bothe m/KB and I suck, my preference is console gaming, I'm an old dude with kids and wife and the home console makes me feel happy, unlike most PC gamers that I know personally don't even have a girlfriend....

Point is DUST was Sony exclusive and because the dev couldn't get it together, all the men and woman who wouldnt even try to game on PC get the shaft and this is why a lot of people are upset and with good reason

Seems like console gamers are as closed minded as the systems they are playing on.

As a guy who normally plays on PC, I had no problems just picking up Dust on PS3.

I mean I have a good PC and systems, but buying a PS3 =/= buying a PC

PC is definitely a heavier investment, and many people are simply intimidated by them.

I think the idea was to suck it up and go to where the game is like the PC players did who had to buy a PS3 to play this three years ago. Segragating yourself into arbitrary camps of being a 'console gamers' or 'PC gamer' is the dumbest concept I've heard in gaming.

Dust is literally dust. I see a few people here trying to stay positive, but I bet those people are the ones that have PCs. We are console gamers, we dont just drop a ps controller and pickup a keyboard. Look what happens to eve players when they do that. They get wrecked. (Shots). Raped with no lube, I cant even sit. 3 years of being hopeful for this game and arguing with my family and friends that tried Dust and said it sucked. I always defended it and just held onto hope. CCP should have just sold the whole concept of the Dust to another company that actually could have taken care of it more than CCP themselves. We should have known this game was going to hell when you were still finding yourself killing yourself with a grenade that bounced back off an invisible wall. They coudnt fix minor ****.

Didnt CCP abandon another game they had? Now theyll probably start another project on PC and abandon that one too. RIP Dust, sorry your creators SUCK!
