Serious post
I played last night and had a blast, so much so i even did another episode of Kicking dust
SHAMELESS PLUG_______> Ahahah typical CCP pulled plug as i had fun. NO HONOUR
To find that this morning they are closing it down! That being said, its pretty good to hear there will be a successor from the fire (bet its called Phoenix... calling it now) and our progression will transfer in some sort of 'tier' allowance.
The fact its on PC is a bit concerning but frankly where else could it go where EVE players would also want to play it - that technology barrier never was overcome with the PS3 and just moving it to the PS4 likely would have caused the same seperated community.
Here is to Dust 514 - i had fun and will enjoy being here to see it close - been doing videos from even before day 1 so to me this has been a fascinating journey and can see an epic 'HISTORY OF DUST' video series on the horizon. |

Also the continued existence of Dust 514 is a black-mark on their entire company. Shutting it down and replacing it with a better game on PC is a way to redeem themselves.

@CEOPyrex @CCPGames Dust404 *drinks some Surge*
Oh well, its not the end of the world (well actually it is technically) Dust was always going to be a long slow decline, think Madonna, sure she still looks good when someone is stood behind her holding all her loose bits in, but when you let it hang, its hard to have good times with that.
Dust has been a bit of a sad panda for a while, CCP should frankly be kissing the collective behinds of everyone who stuck out the game with them and i do have faith that they will reward those who transfer.
Myself - im keen to see what they present, legion was a nice concept and i hope to see something that really does push the boundaries a bit as they wont be able to make a AAA game, this will be an indie space shooter on PC - a good target IMHO as all the razzle dazzle AAA shooters for some time on PC have been utter bilge.

F that noise, sounds like a cop out. We elected them to do a job of communicating for us and I'm pretty sure it wasn't hey let's end the game now. It wasn't hey let's end the game but here's money first while we are kept in the dark. That's why these cpms weren't active players anymore and that's why y'all rat god went mia. Nope cause I said in the past that ccp wanted this game dead. As people hailed the rat god I've always hated him cause I knew this was his purpose. But to sucker others out of money isn't right.

Yes i would recommend not spending more money on Dust now - surely thats just common sense?
It does however mean i have 1billion isk to splash on this game. what would be the quickest way to burn through that sort of isk?
Im thinking just calling in as many tanks and dropships i can at the back of the field, turn Dust into Battlefield waiting for vehicles to spawn.... |
