LInks are the key to this game.
If they aren't maintained in logical places, the match is over and your team will lose.

I suggest you bring in links with you and put them up everywhere then. What's the problem?

I do. Regularly. In many matches, I'm the only one to focus on that in the first 2 minutes.
Too many people use all of their CPU for biotics, and make force projection / reinforcement a low priority because they don't see an immediate reward in WP. |

A few bad links can wreck a match far worse than not enough. I was in a match the other day in the turtleback ziggurat where the letter is a meat grinder from all angles, with the supply depot inside the building. The whole match is about controlling that roof. Blueberries kept dropping links on the building floor, right in the open, and there were so many of them I couldn't even tell which were my roof links. Compound that with the fact that the reds were smart enough to leave the bad links in place, so they just kept farming the spawns. Blue team lost it badly. I was raging pretty hard. lol. |

That is only true if there aren't enough links out.
That is my point. |

But has no idea what bandwidth is xD

and those same blues probably aren't even paying attention to the condition of the objective, just looking for kills to protect the KDR, and could care less about winning.

I like to put them in a three wall corner. Forcing blues to take the route I feel is best. Backing into corner and looking down is always good practice.

This topic is a pet peeve of mine. Lack of links annoy me to no end. My peeve is that it seems that I have to be the one bringing the damn links which becomes annoying because I want to play a non link placing character. I usually have a couple of suits, usually scout that are dedicated to links and hacking. Don't get me wrong, this can be fun but, sometimes i want to use a heavy suit. Some battles require more fire power or more survivaviliti which its usually lacking in my link suots.
I also, agree with the guy who hates links placed in high spots. The problem is that by the time you make it all the way down you are already dead. |

I bet the CCP devs could check logs to see how the consumption of links changed at the time the myo's added jumps. I would wager a lot that the number of links sold on market dropped tremendously about a month after the myo change, and only increased that gap over time. |

I think it very much depends on the map and the objective. Some maps depend on winning the high ground over an objective. Some maps depends on a mosh pit right on the letter. I agree that the high high tower links are functionally useless to >= 50% of the team that aren't in long range suits. |

Very true.
Regardless of the map, however, force projection and reinforcement can only be accomplished by links, so thinking about links all the time is critically important to winning.
I just want folks to wake up the what may be a tactical problem we face, that is a byproduct of historical module changes. |

I hate this so bad. Or that dude that spawns on my link and throws down one not a foot from mine. In pubs, i can't do anything, in FW, you'll get blasted & your uplink destroyed. Sometimes i get so sick of being the only guy that knows uplinks i don't bring them and go for kills.
That map with the tabletop in the middle? I don't hate that map, i hate that that's the ONLY place blues will put uplinks. If you aren't in a squad in pubs or on the stompers side your team gets filled up with people that should no way in hell be out of academy.

I drop links all the time. I get sick of it sometimes. Then I say duck it. Drop a link in a camped spot. I get wp. Team gets farmed while I hack stuff. Non link dropping team can go to hell.

Links are vital and of the utmost importance in battle however if your shooters can't kill the enemy to defend the hacks then all the links in the world won't save you.
