Last I checked, the top 10 players of most matches I play run adv, pro, and officer. I could do to but I decide I stick to basic gear because it's just as effective. So no, not many people run starter fits.

Only new players run starter fits. And it's even more obvious when they crouch righ infront of me waiting for my ion pistol charge shot.

No...most new guys run starter fits. Keep stroking yourself. Makes me hawt. Lol wut? I've been playing since 2013 and I still run starter fits every single pub match. In fact I went 30/10 with an Armor AV MN Starter fit yesterday with 3000 wp and the previous match I went 18/5 with a Caldari Recon suit.

 Starter fits are not bad.

Oh, and both matches I played? 1st place

By saying that they are mostly only run by new players, you imply that they are bad, and I have disproven that theory.

Confirming that I ran w/ Soto yesterday in ... 2 pubs? 3 pubs? He was first and I was second on WP in those matches, and it wasn't a close second.

Starter fits are powerful in any high sp player! If cores are maxed and weapons of choice are maxed they are very effective. Not to mention armor and shields maxed.
For me on the other hand I suck no matter what I play! I've been having fun with the forge lately, very challenging.

Ahem. Even tho Krin's Damamod is a godly module,
there is only one suit type it should NOT be used - the commandos.

Sure I know it's free and takes 15 CPU less than Enhanced Light Damamod - but those LIGHT damamods benefit BOTH commando weps. And have +1% more on enhanced level, +3% more on complex.

Actually, it can and should, mostly when running all basic gear.

Basic light damage mod does 4% damage, Same as krins, only difference is that it has a sack penalty, which the krins doesn't have. At the end, you can do more damage with 2 krins than with 2 basic light mods.

TLDR, krins are perfectly acceptable for commandos

What is your source for that claim? that for some reason the stacking penalty wouldn't work? fitting screen? GM Archduke confirmed that the Krin's damage mod does not have stacking penalty.

Also, I believe that the Basic Light Damage Modifier only does 3% extra damage.

So, basically, 2 Complex Light Damage Modifiers and 1 Krin's LEX-71 Damage Modifier does more damage than 3 Complex Light Damage Modifier.

The hand written texts - and even statistics (forge gun range 400m from two years ago) - are not reliable. At all.
I think there are several modules where CCP just doesn't state the existence of stacking penalties yet they are there.

I know for a fact that it existed. I even replied to his post.
Well...if no one digs it up, I'll try to do a test tomorrow if FW ever gets up while I'm on dust.

The thing is, people have already done numerous tests, and I know they are on the forums. Try searching for posts around last july to november.

This is the best I can do:

Here are the results of my ticket :)

 My question:

Does the Krins Damage Mod have a stacking penalty? The description doesn't say it does. If so does it have a penalty only when stacked with other Krins or when stacked with any damage module?

Also, if I have two light weapon damage mods and one sidearm damage mod, is the sidearm mod affected by a stacking penalty? Thanks!

 His answer:

 Hello, this is GM Archduke.

Thank you for contacting the DUST 514 Customer Support Team. The KrinGÇÖs LEX -71 Damage Modifier should not have a stacking penalty with any damage modules. Also, stacking penalty should also apply to modules that are giving bonuses to the same attribute - in your example, two light damage mods would result in a slight stacking penalty on your light weapon damage bonus, but the sidearm damage mod should not be affected by this, and should give you the full bonus. Please note however, that there is a known display issue with the modified damage in the fitting window, and these numbers are unfortunately not displayed correctly at the moment. We're actively working on resolving this issue, and hope we can do so as soon as possible.

This is from a thread about stacking penalties in general. I think zzZaXxx posted it.

Now you can take it for what it's worth, but I believe!

An update on attempted Testing: Inconclusive...We couldn't test with a weapon that had significant enough damage to show any difference in the final damage (as far as what is displayed is concerned)...either that or the damage does the same...will need to go into a PC to test at some point, since I think we could only see this in action with heavy weapons (or sniper rifles)

Exactly why we would need a PC...need Forge Guns or Sniper Rifles...and neither of us wants to get kicked from FW

We were testing with a Breach Scrambler Pistol

 Not how it works Thaddeus.

You need virgin sacrifices to bring him to this planar realm.

Not how it works Thaddeus. You need virgin sacrifices to bring him to this planar realm. Damn...you're right, I forgot the material components necessary for casting the spell...I could meta-magic it...but that'll make it more difficult to cast

Given the correct time(s), heck yeah I'm in!

All 16 I-series BPO's with Quafe skins for most.
Most Quafe racially correct light weapons and the few sidearms that there are.
Tell me what you need and I can probably bring it.
