You are absolutely correct, IF AND ONLY IF it's pure chance.

My take on this is that it's actually not pure chance, that CCP records the IDs of people who buy AUR to open multiple boxes. I think that's the reason they have the option to open 10 at a time, so that people will see the benefit of buying AUR to do so, and that they will be rewarded by good gear when they do. For the rest of us, opening one at a time or saving them and opening 10, 20, 30 at a time, we will just keep getting the same reasonably good gear, and otherwise lots of useless junk that we always do.

I've gotten my share of decent gear but no BPOs. It appears to me, reading these threads that people who buy AUR to open boxes are the ones most likely to get BPOs.

I've been having some debates with my corp m8's about opening 10 boxes multi times vrs one box at a time, some think its better to just do 1 at a time cuss it don't matter, but I've found opening combo's that have given me multi of the same "Quafe" gear. Let me go over what I have, this is over the span of two toons by the way as one has more luck then the other. First toon me: Quafe shotgun Quafe scrambler rifle Quafe combat rifle 2x Quafe assault rifle Sec toon Alt: Quafe laser rifle 2x Quafe mass driver As for the assault rifles I'm sorry on that one its been to long and i don't remember what i did to get them, the shotgun and scrambler i went crazy one night and found you cant open more then 80 boxes a night in sets of 10 before the system will not let you open any more boxes due to it will cut your link with CCP's database and refuse access to let you open any more set's of 10 around 80 or 90 boxes at once. The Quafe mass driver i had about 26 keys at that time I opened one box once hit x or what ever it is to open another signal box closed out and opened one set of 10 looked around at what i got stopped on the officer mass driver and opened another 10 and boom there it was, sec time i got the other mass driver i did the same thing and got another one! The combat rifle i had 21 keys and just got last night, i opened one box closed out and then opened 10 looked around and stopped on the officer combat rifle then opened another 10 and boom there was the combat rifle, I'm not sure if its the amount or where you stop when looking around the first set of 10, keep in mind I've done this alot with nothing its like it gives it out once or twice a month the way I've been doing this, hope this helps let me know how it goes for you! Facts are facts, I went months only opening one box a day aka one at a time, with getting nothing but office all the time, and junk as well, so me and my "Neanderthal brain" will keep doing what I'm doing and getting Quafe and you keep doing what your doing, OK sound good, great thanks for the post! cough cough "hater" cough cough Like I said thanks for post, no need to say any more It's like my mother always told me! It appears to me, reading these threads that people who buy AUR to open boxes are the ones most likely to get BPOs. well as I cant say i haven't had a signal toon i have tested this on I have talked to other that have never paid anything that have got BPO's but all i have to go on is their word, if they don't remember paying or something that's on them. But will it hurt you to save up two or 3 sets of say 26 keys mean save up to 26 open one signal one twice or even 3 times then open two sets of 10 right afterwords to find out? Try it out for the next few months, its not like your going anywhere, and at worst case I'm wrong and your out nothing ether way, give it a go. It's like my mother always told me! Not guaranteed but a better chance. right the point of this thread is if it matter of the combo/ways you open the sets of 10 i swear by opening a few single box's first then doing the 10's and that has given me stuff but not sure it opening something first matters at this point but I'll keep doing it anyway It's like my mother always told me! Versus getting 1 opening it or getting 10 and opening it, I've been intermixing singles with sets of 10's aka 20 whether or not it 's doing any good or not that's another matter! I keep seeing its all "chance" well this is my self "lucky" song-and-dance, so to speak kind of like how folks will not change their underwear or socks because their team won something when they was wearing said particular items! Open 500 at once, and I hear, well I didn't get any "Quafe" or "skins", this way don't work! Well that just means you have no luck, I guess and don't play the lottery is the best advice I can give here. It's like my mother always told me!
