I think Medics (Logis only? Caldari Logi would get an additional bonus to apply to this as well.) should get a Deployable shield to cover them while trying to heal a baldy hurt or downed ally.
To balance it, it should require the sacrifice of ALL your personal shields HP when deployed.
I was thinking it should amplify whatever amount is transferred from your suit to it.
So for example:
Basic "Deployable Medic Shield"
Could be thrown like a sticky grenade
EMP grenades have NO effect on this item due to advances in Caldari tech
Cooldown time of 40 seconds
Duration of 1 minute or until walls HP is depleted
75% penalty to 0 shield regen time
Would force the logi to stack shields in order to make the most out of this, less armor tanking would be seen as a result
Infinite use
max amount deployable per side at one time (4), to prevent spamming
Logis should get an extra "Logi Only" EQ slot meant for special items such as this.
Logistics Class use only
Amplifies transferred shield power by 5*(can be tweaked, this is a number I just put there)
"Activates a temporary wall of energy, consuming the entirety of the users shields in the process. "

Not a bad idea but I see some problems with it people using it as a barrier to stop people from getting somewhere people should be able to pass through it to prevent this and it should go down once the deployed is liked to prevent people from having multiple active |

Someone proposed a similar idea some time ago but I like this too. I don't think it should be restricted to only logis though and bandwidth can help prevent overuse.

I can see this as a huge exploit... honestly... you're thinking about deployable WALLS? ffs, you know what will happen? scrubs will run these damn things all over PC maps and create a wall that'll be unbreakable... I say no thx..

Seriously... you are aware there are ARMOR Logistics right? you think I'll care if I lose 112 Shield on a Ak.0 Logi and now I have a deployable bullet sponge? hell no... I'll happily spam that all day long and break Dust more than it is now.
One day, I'll exterminate the weak and unworthy.

This would be a fun mechanic to play around with.
Though I don't think it should have a class limitation. Merely a high CPU/PG cost that, similar to the scout bonus for the cloaking tool, discourages other classes from using it. I don't like that the forge and HMG still have class limits.
As far as an impenetrable wall... maybe not. but a barrier that stops damage, Yes. A person could walk through it but could not shoot or throw a grenade through it. Perhaps limit it to a velocity barrier. Slow speed like walking or running gets through, but thrown or shot objects do not? That would mean extra work to stop grenades and RE's - a scout may be able to outrun them. And what about vehicles...? would the shield stop them? - because that would be awesome. Stop a tank in its tracks, but loose all shields, fun.

That's because the Heavy class has nothing else going for it besides HP.

This right here is a fun idea. Imagine getting behind a HAV and setting up the wall so that when it tried to retreat backwards it slams into the wall and stalls temporarily, leaving it open for AV to pummel it.
