I had a good series of matches. Even had one where I managed 1000 WP holding down a letter by myself with an all BPO fit for almost 6 minutes.
And then we come to my last match of the day. When I came in the match on Line Harvest had just started and my team was already losing the first letter they hacked. I spawned in on foot to try and cap one of the enemy letters and died in the process.
In the map screen I saw some enemies had set up on the hill outside our ground spawn (we were on the upper end) and were trying to farm the spawn. I brought in my Python to clear the hill so we could get back into the match. After a few kills they fell back and it looked my team was pushing out. I started taking fire from a Railgun installation and started swinging a wide arc around to the right side of the map to find where the shots were coming from.
It was at this point that a Militia Swarm volley came in from my left without warning and did negligible damage because my Hardener was on.
However, the detonation flipped me completely sideways and I had no chance to recover before I was already rolling upside down on the ground and exploding.
I just turned the console off and left.
Sometimes I'm amazed at how I think I'm ready for how frustrating this game can be at times, and then it decides to remind me that I don't even know the levels of frustration it can dish out.
So, while I'm raining salt all over the place, anyone else have ****** deaths recently?

I just had taken down an enemy tank on the bridge map, that I fell back into the Pyramid socket, to hide and look for another one in the map.
I press start, open up the map, see no enemy tank, close the map. As I close the map I notice that my expensive tank falls through the map and explodes after 10 seconds.
As usual, that ends my dusting for the day.

I had that happen to me once. It was not fun.

When I last played I died many times due to the slow reaction of the controls. Sometimes I feel like should already be around the corner and safe, or facing the other way, or behind cover but I'm only half way there. Its something I hadn't noticed until playing BF4 regularly. Dust needs to smoothen the controls so that f I don't make it I know Im just slow and its not the controls.

Well now that I am back to operating my tanks again I can't help but acknowledge how awful some mechanics are relating to Dust 514's ground based gameplay and no amount of me loving the Lore of this game will ever change that.
I used to find that Iron Delta was one of my favourite maps in the entirety of Dust 514 with access to a bridge, two main exterior complexes, and a large socket with plentiful space of tank battles and interesting vehicle//infantry interaction. However what ruins the map for me are essentially the overly liberal turret placement as well as the redline turret placements.
If often find Infantry have no ******* appreciation for the value turrets have on the map and thusly capture them at the start of a battle and forget about them completely. In on particularly cringe worthy battle I am supporting our guys at the head of the bridge forcing enemies off of the sides and also running sorties through their lines and around their flanks.....
I discovered in a beyond infuriating way that the infantry were simply not capable of holding the assets on their own side of the map to the point where they were blindly spawning in on a series of drop uplinks and slowly being cloned out.
So I rush back over and try to give them some help....
Big ******* mistake. In some utterly nonsensical developer decision non-manned turrets automatically aggro me on top of incoming AV with unbelievable accuracy allowing the turrets to score the final shot rather ridiculous shot as I round a corner and causing me to instantly drop Dust in favour of Fallout 4/EVE RP.
This reminds me of every argument I have to denying all infantry players even those on my team access to any installations, supply depots, and CRU's. If you aren't going to use or defend them pardon me for ******* removing them from the map as you don't deserve them nor have a right to them.
Now after all of this I have a 3x Damage Modded Passive Rail Tank specifically designed to remove all installations off field that is now always called in before my standard fits.

So, while I'm raining salt all over the place, anyone else have ****** deaths recently? ...So you were having some good matches, but this one time the other team was being an *******, where you up and prevented them from immediately redlining your team entirely by yourself, you quit, leaving the rest of your team without an obviously beneficial player, just because you got double ganked by a rail turret and militia swarms? That was just bad luck and in no way coordinated.
**** like this is why games in general, not just this one, go downhill. Because of ****** things that happened in this past, despite having a several good games, this one unfortunate thing happens and makes you flip the table and leave. Because a while back the game sucked in some way, and so later on when things have improved and are actually looking a bit better and where it's actually enjoyable, this one frustrating, entirely separate thing happens that, on its own, is entirely negligible, but just feels like it's worse because the only thing going through your mind is 'oh no, not this **** again'.
Get over it, man. It sucks, but what were they going to do? Not shoot at you?

Dude re read that post.
It isn't the av that pissed him off. It's the fact his derpship flipped insanely to the point of madness and detonation from some small ass missles hitting him.

Yes, and had he not been first initiated by the rail turret he wouldn't have turned and the knockback from the swarms likely wouldn't have been enough to flip him, as he would have been more stationary, thus more in control. He got accidentally double ganked.

If Wyrkomi Swarms had come in and started wrecking me I would have flown more defensively and drawn out the Swarmer into the open so I could kill them.
I can't fight back against my vehicle randomly turning sideways while I'm flying low to avoid long-range Railgun shots.

I had a team mate bring in a dropship and it landed on its side so i brought my lav to nudge it ever so softly and as soon as i touched it the dropship exploded. Lol it can take missles and rail shots but when i kiss the lav with it BOOM!
