Im trying to figure out if there is something "special" to this game thats worth all the grind that makes it different from all the other millions of FPS out there. i see what people call "depth" but it seems to be just loadout customization more than anything else. Is the idea to get good gear so you can go seal clubbing on the next gen of new players?
Seems to me this game isnt very noob friendly.
oh and id like some real feedback and not just some lame, "well just dont play" responses.

I can tell you one thingie boyko. I playing this game because i like idea behind its concept. I playing this game because friends here.
Without these two it is just cloud castle, nonexistent thingy. There is nothing special about this program.
There is not any special items. Game is full of flaws, like bugs, glitches, and especially infamous lag.
I can tell youthis game is basicaly empty box, in what you can or cannot fit. Imagine this game like empty box and you will get answer to any question of yours ;)
Right now that box if full of old wood lices, hardened by years (i mean literally) of waiting for better future. Sadly in past we saw that many setback we already know the future of this game. And that future is still same state with some imaginary implements and hunting the FoTM through LAG.
Nothing else boyko, just empty cardbox with some lices feeding on it. Just imaginatory cloud castle. Empty vase full of promises but still just empty vase ;)

That was said in a review on Star Wars: Battlefront. It really struck home with me because I realize that that is a major issue with the NPE as a whole.
To put it simply: There needs to be less dependence on raw skill and power level of fittings and more opportunities for tactical value and player shaping/agency. A player, regardless of skill, should be able to outwit his opponent through fitting and tactics. The opportunities with which this occurs are few and far between.
In an optimal world I'd like see more EWAR options besides just the awful profile/precision system that is so binary. I'd like to see more opportunities for players to shape the battlefield in their favor rather than so much reliance on keeping a crosshair on a target. I'd love for there to be a way for a new player to jump into a battle and wreck ass using the tools available to him and not have feel as though he's ineffective due to unlock gating and fighting against the god awful control schemes.
Yup but from view of normal customre battlefront is still bigger fun. Im quite sad which way Dust went since release to be honest. I feel like we actuelly have more in closed beta. That canyons and open turets, hacking orbs. It feel as it is right now, flat.
I would like to see more tactics, like we saw before in MAG for example. Few static maps but many chooses how to react to opponents. What we have here, there is not strategy at all to be honest.
And idea of better armor, weaponary, vehicles etc. Even that should be somehow limited in my side of view.
Like honetly i got the concept what is behind but game have too many cons. And fun is mostly lost under that all implements, imbalance and technical difficulties.
If you ask me how many time i have proper fun with playing in this mount i will tell you, three times. And because that three games were not helvete lagy.
I had chance to ply battleground and its fun i must admit, not too much for tactics but for vening with friend and beer fun. And what i feel mostly after one evening in dust? Honestly emptiness and disappointment, what is not great.
After that whole years i still do not see, i do not feel that fullfill or how i can explain my feeling. This game can be awesome, but sadly i still see ore and more issues. And im here since closed beta, just imagine what newbie who just made his persona right now will feel after few games (most actually losed ones).

Sandbox DEFO not, be honest boyko. This is not sandbox at all. GTA is sandbox.
Excuses? Let me stop here, game is not great and we all know it. There is some flaws and i do not see in his post any made excuses just because he see the game how it is.
That grow thingie? Boyo im here since beta and im 31 this game needs to grow not me or anybody else.
Because what i feel is basicaly not progression. I see some new thingies on map, new skins for time/aurum and that is all.
Bugs still same, FoTM still same, unbalance changing but still unbalance, bigger and bigger gap between newbies and vet.boykos, invisible walls on same places, nonexisten tactics.
How this should be apealing to new boyo?
I really pray for better of this game.
In my eyes this game is like old pub, where you go for some fun with friends, but toilets are still smelly and unclean and you everytime woke up with headache and stomach problems because beer pipes are not in good state.

That is not strategy. It is big xp maker, but not a strategy if you do not use basic of tactics for hives and droplinks.
Game nned to find proper balance between killing thingies and using supportive class. Right now it looks like puzzled system to be honest XD

Keeping uplinks on the field is very important. Try to focus on where you are placing your uplinks. You want to try to keep your uplinks placed in a location that allows your teammates to be able to spawn in and quickly move to where they need to be at that particular time during that particular match while at the same time trying to have your uplinks in a location where the redberries won't be able to see it nor will they be able to see your teammates spawn in. (this can take some time to figure out) As for strategy points I find that those change depending on the flow of the match as well as who you are playing with/against so I really can't comment on that one without actually seeing what you're doing in battle. Just make sure that you try to stay close to your teammates and if you see your teammate shooting at a reberry then you should make sure that you shoot at that redberry also. In this game you should hold as much pride in your kill assists as you would your actual kills. What gamemodes are you playing? I would recommend staying away from Domination because the majority of the scrubby players seem to flock to that gamemode and those same scrubby players will quit on you when they see that they are facing a challenge. Also, what Faction are you running? The most effective way of engaging the reberries in battle differs depending on the Faction you are running as well as the Dropsuit and Weapon you are using.
If he/she is gallass with ar she will be fine XD

I've been here since Beta myself, but haven't played until very recently (4-5 months). I truly wish I had stuck with it back then, but I was and am an EvE Online player and didn't see the value of sticking with the Beta of something that looked broken until it was open released. How could I have known that it apparently has actually gone downhill since then? Looks like I missed out on what was once a very good game. But even back then the limitations were obvious, limitations that I thought would improve, not atrophy. One of those limitations was the scope of the game. It's played in stylised maps, in battles which are limited by fixed resourcing. There are no opportunities for EvE pilots to arrive with fresh clones in their holds to offer reinforcements and save the day. When Dust was being built, we had what we believed to be the interface to it added to EvE Online, being "Captain's Quarters" the first (and possibly last) installment of "Walking in Stations", and this was supposed to be where people from both Dust and EvE could interact, particularly with markets, but there was even talk of Dust-style battles on the stations!! There is so much that could have been done but CCP dropped the ball. And thus, Dust was consigned to the limited world of stylised battles we see today. I still think something could be done about this but perhaps it requires a port?....
I do not know if port will fix it honestly. I saw how thingies changed in years and im not quite sure if that will be way. All issues aroung the game can be fixed (if that was possible with other games, that possibility is here too).
Quarters i honestly do not need them, it is just useless thingy. If that will be possible i will vote for delete of this assets in favour of future implements. Because honestly what we do there, we can wait for battle in somethign like we saw in legion video before (that lobby thingy with walking archetype on ledge). I do not know there is so much to fix and i still hope it will be fixed.
What puzzles me is that ratatamans thingy from podcast:"There will be something what can make some angry." I hope it will tank or galass tweaks. But what is scary can be mesage:"This is our last patch.", what can be possible too.
Anyway i still hope in better for this game and i hope that hope is on place and will not be lost.

If they have issue with memory on Ps3, why not to removed it here on Ps3 and leave it in future version of dust anywhere? Because i honestly want to see racial weaponary and vehicles more, than my walking ingame persone in useless flat. BTW for how long EvE players waiting for unlock of "that doors"?
