The laser rifle appears like a reliable weapon within its optimal range.
However it is hard to track targets even at very low custom control sensitivity levels (while aiming down sights). This is because the amount of deflection the ps3 controller joysticks need to track targets is very low. It is hard to achieve the level of joystick deflection due to controller design.
Decreasing the base sensitivity stats of the laser rifle would increase the overall controller joystick deflection needed to track targets. It would move the required joystick deflection angle/movement into a more comfortable range that can be much more easily reproduced with thumbs. Making it easier to reliably track targets and not waste ammunition.
Summary: Laser rifle 'aim down sights' sensitivity needs to be reduced to allow more reliable control over player aiming input and make it easier to kill at 100m ranges. Current sensitivity settings set for the laser rifle make it fit for ranges at 60m. It needs to be suited for roughly 92m enemy engagements.
My sensitivity settings are roughly 2 and 2 for 'x' and 'y' axis' within the neocom settings menu. It does not help enough. |

While every other laser feedback I've seen mentioned buffing the LR, this one is the BEST feedback I've read.
That thing is too sensitive. Like, it's okay if it's more sensitive than usual but, not as sensitive as it is now. I'd call it 2 times as sensitive as other weapons.

i was checking out old chromsone vids earlier to remember what exactly made it so good.
back in chrome-
It had about the same dmg as now when it warms up, but didnt have to warm up back then.
it had longer full dmg range(but zero dmg beyond that) oh nostalgias kickin in.
ppl only had mlt gear-adv, averaging 400-600 health, and stood still alot more, really easy kills.
it would overheat at 80 of 100shots, so basically what we have with amarr ass's now but 4 all suits.
dmg mods, sharpshooter and weaponry skills were all broken as fk back then.
NOW, the important and relevant part, the lack of any ironsights or red dot, instead just a clear sight picture with a white dot, was incredible.
AND TEH MOST relevant part-
it had a crazy zoom which made it easier to aim. lol
