Most of what I see around here is just a bag of dicks in need of some kicks.

Removing passive skill bonuses, by which I mean all skill bonuses that provide a benefit other than access to gear and fitting cost reduction / fitting space, would be another major step in improving NPE and match quality. Players should have to pay for their advantages. And suddenly doing a little becomes doing a lot. I suggested something similar before but it was limiting the passive to a certain level which of course that was also with the thought of meta locks in mind so a generalized standard, adv, proto locked queue would only allow up to that level of skill bonus to be used.
While I don't appose completely removing the bonuses in pubs as you suggest I would prefer to allow for up to adv to be used. Because that is part of the core of the game; then again we'd still have FW & PC for that so perhaps it is worth a try.

What part of this is so hard to understand? If you try to split people up to improve matchmaking or restrict what gear they can use, it's just going to encourage the playerbase to separate more across modes and make it even harder to find matches. People been saying that for a long time now in regards to meta/gear locks and the player base keeps on shrinking a little bit by little bit. I said it before, CCP just needs to bite the bullet and just go ahead and split up the players then there'd be room for growth; because all these people going balls to the walls are suffocating the life out of this game, slowly but surely. Best outcome game actually grows and queue times shorten; the worse that's going to happen, longer search times, well that's the same end result we'll see if we don't split players. Cause players will keep leaving until nothing but the cancer is left and then this game will die because cancer doesn't fight itself.
