Whether or not this boycott will do anything of value is being debated. In the spirit of good record keeping, I am posting the Eve Offline average concurrent logins to see if this "strike" actually causes a change. Please keep in mind that Fallout 4 has released this week; we should expect to see a dip in concurrent logins this weekend anyway. We are looking for a significant change. The organizers of the boycott claim to have thousands of players participating so we should see these numbers plummet into the triple digits. As of July 7, Warlords 1.2 release 1 yr: 2333 6 mo: 2072 3 mo: 1936 1 mo: 1921 1 wk: 1966 As of September 25, Amarr Challenge Event end 1 yr: 2162 6 mo: 2025 3 mo: 2081 1 mo: 1992 1 wk: 2066 As of November 11 1 yr: 2092 6 mo: 1985 3 mo: 1945 1 mo: 1829 1 wk: 1732 *: While the movement has been called a strike, this is inaccurate. A strike is "a refusal to work organized by a body of employees as a form of protest, typically in an attempt to gain a concession or concessions from their employer." CCP does not employee players. That would be impossible, considering average player count hangs around 2000 during the day. Still, this is a significant number of supporters. What we actually said was that our reach is in the thousands. Thousands of people HAVE been contacted by alliance mails. However, some of these players are inactive. It bears repeating that this really shouldn't have been scheduled the same week as the release of one of the most anticipated titles of the year. I mean, that's beside what I think about so many of us having spent weeks trying to show solidarity from the players for a port to either platform, and now you lot are trying to bully CCP into a PC-only release. You what? Ask yourself how it looks when the console community actively boycotts your game. It would make many developers believe the community is too toxic to maintain. They would look elsewhere for a new community: PC. The Eve players are already singing DUST's praises... don't give CCP a reason to wave the PS4 port off due to a boycotting of the game. But this event? BELOW 3000?????? But the real strike is comeing on Black Friday at 299 for a PS4 with games. So I expect some to run to Hussle-Stop to trade in a PS3 to buy a PS4. Cause other than dust 514 what else is there to play in 2016 on PS3? Another PS3 Barbies Sisters Puppy Rescue? Most Game Developers are saying no content for old gen in 2016 and beyond.
