We have strict internal policies regarding this. EDIT: And by the way, just by saying this: GM Archduke wrote:...we will not hint, comment on or discuss possible future changes, release dates etc. at all until we actually have something to announce/talk about. I kind of already implied that there may be something to announce/talk about at some point in the future, don't you think?
No, you really didn't.
What you did was allow people to infer that there would be something without actually saying anything. It gives you a plausible position to turn around later and claim you didn't say anything.
Not communicating the future of the title works when your company is actually making visible progress. How well it works when your product is dog droppings and the whales just want an excuse to spend money I'll let your higher ups tell you how that is working out.

Bf4 has much more content. More guns, more vehicles, more maps and game modes. Not without its own problems, but for gunplay it blows dust out of the water.

That is literally what the word means, man. imply
verb (used with object), implied, implying.
to indicate or suggest without being explicitly statedAnyway. This started out as a thread concerned about the future. Contrary to the popular belief that CCP does not communicate with the players, I popped in and explained the official CCP status on this. Now it's just starting to be aggressive pointing of fingers and pointless repetition of the same arguments that were already discussed dozens of times. I would not be surprised if this thread would get locked sometime soon.
Maybe after 18 months of implications while the studio cuts staff and takes on new projects finger pointing is the reasonable response?
If after 18 months, you have nothing to comment on and nothing to show, the more logical assumption is that there is nothing to be seen, not that there is some piece of fantastic software being formed without input from anyone, developed by an understaffed and under experienced dev team that can't even maintain performance on their ps3 version.
Locking this thread is probably for the best though, its a thread that can't be a winner for you guys in any fashion. Having more people see that you punish the community for your failures, and that after a year and a half all that can be offered is an implication of a port isn't in your interests.
I'll be taking my compelled vacation from the forums, hopefully you guys announce a port by the time I am allowed back. I'd probably put the odds at 100:1 against though.
o7, good luck with implying just enough to keep the whales hooked.
