But remember that CCP can opt to completely ignore CPM feedback and do what they want. The CPM might have had lukewarm reactions to this event and CCP said, "**** it, this event is easy to code and it's in time for Halloween so we're doing it." Have you seen anything to suggest that the CPM voiced any opposition to this event or other events that encourage stomping? I haven't. Heh... Jeez... I mean, we -just- finished hitting the warbarge passive officer gear generation. I dunno about you but I consider that a major success considering the impact it's had on the game since conception. There will never be a time, this CPM or the next, where we will address all the problems in one fell swoop (at least, not without outright breaking the game). So, my question is what would you like us to do, exactly..? Put yourself in our shoes and tell us what you would have said to CCP. How would you oppose the stomping in the event?
While we understand, or at least I do, that you guys, the CPM2, have made every effort to make the game better. This issue we're currently dealing with is pretty bad?!
I know you guys have taken on certain issues head on to improve performance where you can. Kirk literally makes vids talking about, and basically updating us on the things you guys are focusing on. This kind of feedback is great, and keeps players playing.
To answer your question,
I think we have to find some way to encourage new bros to get out of the redline and help the team win! There should be an overwhelming effort to win matches whether it be pubs, FW, or PC (without cheating) in every match. It sure as hell used to be!
Sadly, I'm finding myself outgunned 9v12 in dom last night going 13/20/13, and receiving mail from a friend saying "you go hard bro", got the mail to prove it! The match started out 15v16 and in dom a 1 man number advantage isn't much. So why did they leave?
Some just don't like some of the maps, and I get that, but shouldn't it be enough incentive per map and match to stay and win?
Not sure whether the incentives should go up, or the maps need a change. I've suggested both in different threads.
As far as the stomping in events go... for me getting 514 kills and 21 wins just happened without trying. I looked one day and bam there it was. *shrugs*
I remember posting that I wouldn't actually attempt this event because I need neither of the items. For a new bro this event was a trip to Valhalla and back lol! While I would encourage them to except the challenge, I understand the struggle better than most. The question is, how do we encourage more teamwork and push because God knows this game once had it in spades!
